1. Review:

How to Make Banana


Pastillas

Ingredients:
1 cup mashed ripe
banana
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. calamansi

Procedure:
1. Measure all ingredients
and cook in a moderate
fire until thick. Use
wooden spoon in
stirring.
2. Mold to desired size.
3. Roll in white sugar, pack
and label the products.

D. Group Activities

1. Divide the class into three


groups. Each group will
make the same activity
(Banana Pastillas Making).

2. Each group is instructed to


gather the materials and (Pupils had been previously assigned
ingredients needed for to bring ingredients)
making Banana Pastillas. Pupils prepare materials and
ingredients.
3. Recall laboratory rules and
safety measures in food  Wear your Proper Protective
preparation. Equipment
 Remove your accessories (earrings,
necklace, etc.)
 Cut your nails short.
 No nail polish allowed.
 Keep a sick person away.
 Clean while you work.
 Maintain the cleanliness and
neatness of your area.
 Return the tools, utensils and
equipment to their proper places.
 Talk only when necessary.
4. What is the importance of
making banana pastillas? Learning how to make banana
pastillas is an example of making a
simple product out of the available
local product in the community. It is
also one way of earning extra income
