I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Happy Tote will offer stylish, comfortable, and good quality original tote bags that will
help to reduce the usage of single-use plastic bags that can cause pollution in our environment.
Data shows that the waste caused by single-use plastic bags continues to increase but not many
companies are making recyclable products to reduce it. This means that there's a big unmet
demand of the market in environment friendly eco bags (like tote bags). Our goal is to fulfill the
unmet desired demand in Mariveles, Bataan. Our few strategies are to give customers multiple
color and size options and give them the privilege to customize their tote bags. Our business will
be initially operating as a home-based enterprise and will use social media platforms (like
Facebook or Instagram, and TikTok) to advertise the colors, sizes and ready-made designs of the
tote bags. Customers may have the option to pick up the products or have it delivered at their
home. Happy Tote has an original and beautiful design that can impress the market.

The initial capitalization allotted for our Happy Tote Bag business is Php 34,000 which is
good for a one month expenses that includes the costing for our two varieties of products. The
expected revenue needed for variety #1 in a year is Php 249,408, and for the variety #2 is Php
1,123,200. In a year, the happy tote bag expects Php 1,372,608 revenue for the two varieties of
our product.

but eco-friendly, cozy & surely comfy, and definitely affordable tote bags but the
quality is still highly guaranteed. We also offer a variety of colors and sizes that we
will be tackling in the product details. Customized designs are highly acceptable as
we let our customers explore their creative sides. Happy Tote Bags also promotes
Pinoy quality-made bags as it also offers specific designs highlighting our own Pinoy
textile materials. We intend to showcase and serve our customers for a secure and
fashionable way of shopping experience.

C. PRODUCTION PROCESS AND CONTROLS THAT W8LL HE USED TO

Below is the step-by-step process of happy tote bag making:


1. Create a pattern.
a. Draw patterns for the different sizes and variety.
b. Draw pattern for specific design with additional compartments.
c. Draw patterns for customer’s customized designs.
2. Transfer the pattern to the fabric, and then cut it.
3. Sew the cut cloth for the specific design
4. Trim the excess thread.
5. Pack the tote bags.
6. Add a label. Print in the small square paper the name and logo of the
business. Also indicate the sizes.
7. If possible to provide freebies, insert pins or key chains for store
promotion.

D. DISTRIBUTION LOGISTICS

Happy Tote Bags initially operates as a home-based enterprise and uses


social media platforms such as Facebook Page, Instagram, and TikTok in
advertising the colors, designs, and variety of the happy tote bags. Customers may
have the capability to choose the mode of pick-up in accordance with their own
convenience. We also offer door-to-door delivery or meeting for pick up in a set
place and time. For door-to-door delivery, there should be a handling fee (Lower
Bataan area only) and a shipping fee (outside Bataan). Fees will be shouldered by
the buyer. For bulk orders, (minimum of 70 pcs.) Free shipping fee or handling
fee is applied.
Due to the crisis today, tote bags will not be displayed in bazaars or school
fairs.

E. REGULATORY AND OTHER COMPLIANCE ISSUES

Happy Tote Bags will be registered as a single proprietorship type of


business to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). A barangay clearance
will also be secured before applying for a mayor’s permit to operate as a home-
based business micro-enterprise. The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
registration will also be done after getting all the necessary registration documents
and permits from DTI, in the barangay, and in the mayor’s office.

Happy Tote, wants to take our part in putting an end to the growing habit of using
single use plastic bags, thus helping our nature. Our target customers are those
who always goes to the market for shopping for their essential needs, groceries, or
just strolling around to buy stuffs. Happy Tote offers a variety of stylish,
comfortable and reusable tote bags that comes in different sizes, colors and
designs that are also customizable. Our marketing campaign will be done to
increase Happy Tote's visibility and popularity through social media platforms
like Facebook and Instagram. We also encourage online resellers to help widen
the market. The price of tote bags depends on their sizes ranging from Php 50-
