TATTOO WORLD: TATTOO FESTIVALS
The Tattoo is a new art form to express
what you think and feel, it is recognized
around the world through tattoo festivals
as traditional and classical art. Most
compelling evidence of the recognition of
tattoos as a new art form are different
tattoo exhibitions and festivals in a lot of
continents and countries. For example,
the New York Tattoo Festival in United
States, London Tattoo Convention in
United Kingdom, Melbourne Convention
in Australia, Tattoo Fest Buenos Aires in
Argentina or Bogotá Tattoo Music Fest in
Colombia. For this reason, tattoos are a
very important new art form as the
traditional and classical art (music,
painting, sculpture and others kinds of
art).
In first place, tattoos are a kind of art that
it is recognized in United States and
United Kingdom, this is possible because
of some tattoo festivals in these places,
for example New York Tattoo Festival,
Dallas Tattoo Expo, London Tattoo
Convention and Brighton Tattoo. In
addition, a lot of people visited New York
Tattoo Festival last July because this
event offered many activities. By the
way, people could see strange tattoo
designs and learn new techniques of
tattoos though the conferences of famous
tattooists as Paul Booth, Stefano
Alcantara and others in this festival. In
brief, tattoo festivals in United Kingdom
and United State are important events for
many people.
Following, tattooists won new spaces to
show their art in Asia and Latin America.
One example of a new space to show
their art is the Melbourne Tattoo Expo in
Australia or Tattoo Week Sao Paolo in
Brazil. The first festival is the largest
tattoo expo in the southern hemisphere
and it hosts the best international and
Australian Artists. The second festival is
considered as the biggest tattoo
convention around the world because it
has a lot of Brazilian and international
famous tattooists and different events and
many places. To sum up, the new space to
show the tattoos in Asia and Latin
America can attract new visitors.
In Addition, tattoos were recognized as a
new art form though tattoo conventions in
other places around the world, such as
Colombia. In this country, tattooists are
recognized in different events. The best
instance of this recognition is the Tattoo
Music Fest (Bogotá), it was the first
entertainment, art and culture festival in
Colombia during last March in the Royal
Center. Furthermore, people could know
different national and international
tattooist as Argentine-Uruguayan couple
of Gabriela and Victor Peralta. Finally, in
Colombia tattoos are recognized in
different places as the Tattoo Music Fest,
Cali Tattoo Festival among others.
In conclusion, tattooists in the present
show their art to many people in more
places and they won respect and
recognition around the world, because
they have an opportunity to show their art
in different tattoo festivals. Finally, in my
opinion tattoos and classical art (painting,
sculpture, drawing, pottery and others)
both try to show and express feelings,
emotions and ideas to artists in different
places over time, for this reason tattoos
are a new art form where people show
and express their feelings through their
bodies more important and popular than
classical and traditional art.
