PLC CONTROLLED GEARSHIFTING OF T007, CABIN MODEL LOADER

Program version T2007092, code 02874550.

T007 has a PLC controlled manual/automatic gearshifting, central lubrication timing and engine start
inhibit system.

For gear selection there are five buttons in the left joystick:
+ (plus), - (minus), F(forward), R(reverce) and neutral.

+ PLUS - MINUS

(LEFT)

In the dashboard there is a three position MANUAL/AUTOMATIC/PROGRAM selector switch.

At right end of dashboard there is a DISPLAY SELECT button.

Gear display is located front of boom/bucket joystick.

Manual driving mode

-In manual mode F(forward), R(reverce) and neutral buttons are used.
-First push on F gives 1.gear forward. Second F gives 2.gear forward, third 3.gear and fourth 4.gear.
Push on R button drops gear one lower. On 1. Gear changes driving direction, no neutral between. You
get neutral using neutral button on 1.gear.
-Gear number and driving direction (+/-) are displayed on LED-display.

Direction:
+ forward
- reverce Gear in use

On remote control gearshifting is allways on manual mode, only 1. forward and reverce are used.

Conditions required to select gear when driving from cabin:

-RRC/MANUAL selector on manual
-Door closed
-Parking brake released

Conditions required to select gear when driving on RRC:

-RRC/MANUAL selector on RRC
-Door closed
-Parking brake released from transmitter

Automatic driving mode

-With PLUS and MINUS buttons you can select biggest gear allowed. Normally all 4. gears are used.
-With F and R buttons you can select the driving direction. The PLC changes the gear automatically
according driving speed.
-Upshifting is possible only if engine rpm is high, over 1800rpm. This is to ensure that you can use
engine braking at down hill driving.
-If converter slip is high when you are driving at 1st gear forward, machine goes to manual mode.
Normally this happens during loading and it prevents unneccessary up-shiftings if wheels are slipping.
Automatic mode returns when driving direction buttons F or R or neutral button N is pressed.
-Engine torque control is always used during shiftings and when driving direction is changed.
-During downshifting torque control is used until converter slip is low. After that gear is shifted down
directly from high to low, f.ex from 4th to 1st. Downshifting is quicker if brake pedal is pressed.

Biggest gear

Direction:
+ forward
- reverce Gear used

-When you are pushing the DISPLAY SELECT button you can see the driving speed (=km/h*10, alias
4km/h => 40).

- When you select programming mode display shows engine rpm.

At programming mode gearshifting works exactly as on automatic mode. Parameters can be adjusted
according separate instructions.

Automatic shifting features:

-Bethween shifts there is a time delay to prevent unneccessary upshiftings on slippery ground.
-Downshifting speed on certain gear is allways lower than upshifting speed, to prevent unneccessary
up- and downshiftings on variating road conditions.

Central lubrication timing

Central lubrication time interval can be adjusted by using a trimmer under a lid in a lower right corner of
the logic controller. You need a little screwdriver to do that. After the adjustment you have to take the
power off and on once. You can see the time value as a parameter nr. 8 but it can’t be adjusted as
other parameters.

2 speed to change 1-2 FORWARD 45 km/h * 10
3 speed to change 2-1 30 km/h * 10
4 speed to change 2-3 85 km/h * 10

11 changing downward delay time 5 *100 ms
12 torque-limit time when changing 2 *100 ms
13 SLIP_VALUE_STALL 1400 RPM
-converter slip at 1st gear forward is
bigger than value, stall situation at
loading
-gear is locked to 1 to prevent
changing up if wheels are slipping.
-returns to auto mode when driving
direction or neutral PB is pushed
14 SLIP_VALUE_ZERO 1600 RPM
- converter slip is smaller than value,
"torque limit" and "throttle off" will reset
at downshifting

Restoring program and factory settings

If you have to restore the program or factory settings you can do that by using a separate memory
module. When the power is off place the module to it’s place under a lid in a upper right corner of the
logic controller. Switch the power on and wait about ten seconds until the amber STOP led turns off and
green RUN led turns on. After that turn the power off and remove the memory module. The program
and factory settings are now restored.
