MECHANICS FOR NEWS WRITING

1. The competition is open to all Cebu Technological University-Moalboal Campus students.

2. Only pre-registered individuals will be eligible to compete. To pre-register, leave the

3. Participants are required to wear their official school ID during the contest to facilitate proper
identification.
4. Fact sheets or other sources of material will be provided to the participants as a basis for
writing the article.
5. Participants must produce a straightforward news story in English.
6. The time allotted for news writing will be one hour.
7. Participants are not permitted to leave the contest area or communicate with anyone else
during the contest hour, except the facilitators.
8. Each entry will only be recognized by its number. Thus, participants should not include any
identifying marks on their contest entries.
9. Participants should bring a pencil, ball pen, and eraser with them. Ang Taga will provide the
writing paper.
10. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irreversible.
11. Any violation of the aforementioned guidelines will result in disqualification.

1. Ang kompetisyon na ito ay bukas sa lahat ng mga mag-aaral sa Cebu Technological
University – Moalboal Campus.
2. Tanging mga pre-registered na indibidwal lamang ang magiging karapat-dapat na
makipagkumpetensya. Upang mag-preregister, iwanan ang sumusunod na impormasyon sa

5. The competition is held live; entries may be submitted until 2 hours before the competition.
6. The link will be announced at the venue. Mailed entries will also be accepted at the provided

e. OBB/CBB: Opening Billboard ug Closing Billboard adunay pangalan sa mock TV network sa
kada grupo. Ang script sa OBB/CBB dapat apilon sa main script nga isumiter sa mga judges.

5. Ang kumpleto nga bidyo sa TV broadcast dapat dili mulapas sa unom (6) kaminuto ug
landscape ang orientation iniini. Ang kada overtime o undertime, i-deduct base sa musunod nga
porsiyento:

MECHANICS FOR SONGWRITING AND VIDEO WITH ACCOMPANIMENT

1. The competition is open to all Cebu Technological University-Moalboal Campus students.
2. Only pre-registered individuals will be eligible to compete. To pre-register, leave the
following information in the comment section:

3. The musical composition "Entry" must be an original work of the contestant. The genre could
be any of the following: pop, jazz, ballad, classical, blues, soul, rock, or R & B.
4. Each entry can only have two (2) participants.
5. The lyrics of the song would be in any language.
6. The song and video must not exceed four (4) minutes, inclusive of the intro and outro. Entries
must be submitted in both the full accompaniment version and the minus one version.
7. The song entry must not have been used in any previous competition, commissioned by a third
party, or have been commercially released.
8. Words with registered trademarks/brand names, and explicit and offensive lyrics are strictly
prohibited.
9. Once submitted, all entries are considered final and cannot be modified or altered.
10. Acceptance of entries will start on , 2022, through the Google Drive link provided.
11. The deadline for submitting entries is October 7, 2022.
12. All entries shall be judged according to the set criteria for judging below.
13. The decision of the Board of Judges, across all stages of this competition, shall be final and
unappealable.
14. The top 5 entries shall be notified through the email address provided and will be posted
