SỰ KHÁC BIỆT CƠ BẢN GIỮA GIỚI TỪ VÀ LIÊN TỪ

- Có nhiều người mặc định rằng, giới từ bao gồm in, on, at. Trong khi đó, liên từ là những từ kiểu như
because, although,... Nhưng có thể các bạn cũng không biết rằng, despite không phải là liên từ mà nó
là GIỚI TỪ.
- Vậy, đâu là sự khác biệt giữa giới từ (prep) và liên từ (conj)?
 Đi sau liên từ sẽ là mệnh đề (S+ V)
 Đi sau giới từ là danh từ/V.ing
- Trong bài thi TOEIC, có khoảng 6-7 câu thuộc chủ điểm ngữ pháp giới từ- liên từ.
- Cách tiếp cận khiến cho người học dễ đạt được điểm cao (tăng thêm số câu đúng cho cả part 5-6)
đó là NGHĨA và VỊ TRÍ.
Example: “As soon as”
• As soon as có nghĩa là “ngay khi”
• Đi sau nó là mệnh đề.

GIỚI TỪ

A about (về…), above (phía trên), after (sau khi), ahead of (phía trước của cái gì …), along (dọc) ,
among (giữa của nhiều vật), around (xung quanh), as (như là/ trên cương vị), at (tại một điểm
cụ thể/ + giờ), as of (kể từ) ...
Example:
- They called the mall to get information about the year-end sale.
(Họ gọi cho trung tâm mua sắm để lấy thêm thông tin VỀ dịp giảm giá cuối năm)
- The team finalized the annual financial reports ahead of schedule.

 Trạng từ nối (however, nevertheless, therefore, moreover, likewise, furthermore, consequently,

besides etc.) được sử dụng để chỉ ra mối quan hệ giữa những ý kiến được bày tỏ trong hai mệnh
đề liên tục, hai câu hoặc hai đoạn.
 Trạng từ nối có thể sử dụng ở đầu, giữa và cuối của một mệnh đề độc lập. Vị trí giữa và cuối thì
