PICTO-NARRATIVE REPORT on BRIGADA PAGBASA

August 20-29, 2021
A part of Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa is an after-school reading program that begets mutually
education advocates and authorities to help learners read and become functionally literate.

The Brigada Pagbasa will serve as a platform to synergize determinations and means to hurdle
education-related challenges especially on literacy and numeracy. It will also create breakthroughs for
all stakeholders to contribute possible answers to the current lulls in the country's education system,
especially in furnishing the learners with 21st century skills.

As a teacher I volunteer to be a tutor to three would be Grade One pupils of Balogo Elementary School,
in Balogo East District, Sorsogon City for the reason that I resides in Balogo and they are close to my
heart for they’ve been the toddlers with me during the summer 10 day socialization activities in Brgy.
Rd. Balogo.

It was a very enjoying 10-day Brigada Pagbasa with Ram-ram, Daniel and Ethan. I saw the brightness in
their eyes as they showed their best to read and understand every word in their reading materials The
one hour per day became one and half hour and time really flies fast with them. Healthy snacks were
served every after each session.
