PROFESSIONAL ASSIGNMENT 2 2

Professional Assignment 2

Introduction

A cloud strategy provides a concise view of your organization's role as a cloud

computer. This is different from a cloud planning process, which offers the "how" of a cloud

strategy rather than the "what" and "why" questions. It is neither a solution nor a cloud

strategy. It is not an attempt to solve everything. At first, however, the creation of a cloud

strategy may appear overwhelming. For every innovation defined loosely as a 'cloud' it is not

designed as a precise, comprehensive set of guidelines (Taleb & Mohamed, 2020). If

anything it should be a straightforward, concise, high-level analysis, with supervision to

reduce the risks associated with the use of these innovations, of which cloud technologies

your organisation should prioritise. Some organisations, without a cloud interior designer or

defined strategy, have implemented various cloud services. In these cases, as long as this

strategy is built together and supported by management before it is communicated internally,

it is not essential who creates it.

Contributes to the complexity of Cloud Strategy

The number one reason that companies have cloud problems is cloud complexity. Due

to excess heterogeneity and less common services, cloud-based platforms are becoming

complex. In the give up, the cloud computer value is negative. We all want a formula for

plugging in some data points and having a cloud complexity ranking, but it's not that simple.

Many of the factors that influence your cloud complexity come into play: number of

workloads, datasets, platforms, storage systems, security models, models of policy making,

and platforms of management— this list continues (Bugwandeen & Ungerer, 2019). While

many are amazed by the difficulty of it, it isn't always bad. In most cases, we observe

excessive heterogeneity since the best of races are those who hold a different cloud services.
PROFESSIONAL ASSIGNMENT 2 3

The natural outcome is complexity. If you like, call it a plan for managing complexity in the

cloud. It should deal with your company's overall approach to cloud intricacy and include

your assets and services, including local, on-prem and cloud-based resources. In addition, it

should specify the monitoring, management, and tracking of systems and resource utilization.

Tactical Adoption of cloud services differ from Coordinated Cloud Strategy

Cloud adoption is a strategy for companies to improve the extensibility and cost

reduction of Internet-based databases. Tactical adoption is a short-sighted approach, which

progressively uses cloud services, resulting in patched apps and services for the creation of

end-to-end business processes. Dispatched cloud is a strategic game that is short-sighted.

According to a collaborative network, cloud adoption is required (Kukafka, 2021). While a

variety of advantages to cloud adoption, including more economic operations and cost

savings, any cloud company should pay close attention to providers of services, safety

concerns and improvement process challenges in order to build effective and safe team and

customer experience (Attaran & Woods, 2018). Successful businesses align the IT strategy

with their business plan. The organisational coordination of the cloud strategy, reflecting

emerging technologies and data privacy and safety needs, must be continued as a company's

business strategy develops.

Reasons for Sourcing

Cloud simply means internet storage, applications and services. Sourcing means

service providers outsourcing. Cloud Sourcing refers to the provision of data, application

services on the Internet to various organisations by service providers. The model of IT

enables services can be accessed anytime, anywhere 24*7 on a digital environment. It gives

organisations the intention to increase and cut resources according to their needs and only

expect to be paid for them when they use them (Bugwandeen & Ungerer, 2019). Cloud

Sourcing offers the opportunity for network operations to access combined support and

information on demand. Until companies have to invest in new infrastructure, they can have

huge capacities, train workers. Each organisation that wants to outsource its data

infrastructure totally to third party companies is beneficial, whether small, big or medium,

without incurring the costs internally. Because of its many advantages with emerging

technology, most organisations switch to the cloud.

Types of work are not readily outsourced offshore

Business activities which rely on an unusual mixture of various implementations and IT

knowledge to properly accomplish their work. It's like the way wise companies do business

that outsourcing can indeed be deemed just a trend. Only thanks to the in sourcing advantages

have many Fortune 500 companies selected to subcontract the software development.

Although off shoring brings many benefits, it does not come without problems (Kukafka,

2021). An IT outsourcing company may have exaggerated expectations. It might think the

outsourcing service provider will take care of anything and everything but has nothing to do

with it. Such unreasonable standards can lead to project rejection and company

disappointment.

Security Consideration while selecting Cloud Strategy

Increased internet penetration and the growth of intelligent devices and the cloud are

three important determinants of the way companies operate today. These three factors

facilitated the ability to function and operational activities of businesses and thus contributed

to increased efficiency. Ensure that your service users and performance management is safe

for employers and users to use (Elmonem, 2019). Access management controls are of the

greatest importance here. Make sure that the correct credentials are shared and only confined

to the right kind of people in the correct context. Start educating your employees on the

safety protocols before allowing information and ensure that they follow a need to know basis

(Bugwandeen & Ungerer, 2019). If required, the access may be given and limited if done.

Furthermore, the file transfer activity should be tracked by your cloud service. Check your

remote operations using a central monitoring programme. Not necessarily all remote

operations are on secure networks. Make sure that your personnel won't land on spam or

threatening sites. Ensure that data from endpoints occurs in a safe environment. Compliance

with supportive treatment to how your company controls and protects access to sensitive data.

The programme also includes audit processes to ensure the continued fulfilment of regulatory

obligations.

Conclusion

A cloud approach is effective to guide your organisation, balancing its potential

benefits with guards to minimise risk exposure through to the transformation into the cloud.

Business leaders and consumers will adopt solutions without a method to promote productive

capacity when available. Business leaders and users will adopt solutions without a method to

promote productive capacity when available. This has been encountered by many

organisations in the form of the Shadow IT. The removal of a cloud strategy allows these

teams to have little advice in adopting cloud services which leads to silos of technology, non-

standard solutions, unexpected costs, and increased perceived risk from hardware failure

climates.
