CASE 14-1 DISCUSSION 2

Case 14-1 Discussion

1. In my opinion, Whole Foods’ emphasis on teamwork for the “grocery store” industry

is appropriate. In a very competitive business climate, the organizational structure of a

grocery store calls on various teams to manage and drive the organization forward to

sustainable growth. If a corporation like Whole Food is attempting to develop its

niche market with nutritious health foods conscientiously individuals and trying to

differentiate itself from the small “healthy foods,” it should put creative management

principles into effect and maintain itself (Maheshwari, 2019). Whole Foods promote a

strong community feeling for teamwork. It encourages pride and consistency in

employees’ work ethics. Each team member has the same chance to put their ideas

forward during team meetings. The emphasis of Whole Food is on fairness and not on

the performance or hierarchical structure of the person. This approach helps full meals

to promote and enhance employee bonuses or incentives. Team collaboration also

helps to define and achieve objectives and improve job efficiency. It has been

claimed that the profits, productivity, customer service, quality, and the brand image

would certainly grow if employees strive towards a joint objective in teams to

accomplish more in the future.

2. In a manner, sharing team performance information with workers is a good idea due

to a few reasons. It is a good idea to share because information with any remaining

employees will assist them with looking at it among themselves. They can see the

distinction among themselves. In a manner, the teams at the top can keep up their

speed to improve, and groups at the base can be urged to strive to rival the team at the

top (Davidescu & Apostu, 2020). The teams at the top will get consistent extra

motivators and different advantages that will debilitate the base team. In a manner, the

team at the base would not feel motivated. It would have a fear of being turned out of

the organization. To persuade employees, they could be offered rewards and

advancements for outperforming the benchmark instead of simply unadulterated

acknowledgment by putting them on a support. It will assist tone with bringing down

the power of the opposition by teaching the mentality of normal great among

employees instead of the opposition being excessively focused distinctly between the

teams and the stores.

3. I certainly would want to work on a team at the Whole Food Shop. The world we are

living in today is a competitive environment. To live or support ourselves, individuals

and enterprises must stand up to their competition. I am driven to put my best efforts

into each allocated work by the competitive setting. I would also like it since it will

enhance my strength to work harder on my objectives on time. The greatest thing I

would work in a team would be to provide me adequate support and encouragement.

Again, it would also inspire me to strive and reach my objectives in good time or

beyond. Working in a team is one of the finest experiences in the world today. I want

to be appropriately recognized for my work, simultaneously time. Offering month-to-

month rewards and furnishing me with equivalent opportunities for promotion inside

the organization. It will inspire me to invest my best efforts to accomplish the

company’s objectives just as my own. The organization calls it “gainsharing” — the

higher a team’s exhibition gains, and the more individuals acquire reward pay

(Burkus, 2016). So it’s significant for team individuals to look at how a singular will

influence the nature of their team.
