EDUC 302 CLASS PROTOCOLS


Midyear Term 2021

I. Attendance
The schedule for the Midyear Term is from 7 June to 13 July 2021. It is for 2 hrs./day at
5:00 to 7:00 PM as per your request.
We can agree on the specific dates for synchronous classes, for two meet-ups per week.

II. Topics for Oral Presentation and Timelines


Attached is the Course Outline vis the schedule of synchronous meetings. (Two meetings
per week. The class will agree on what days to meet (Manage this amongst yourselves and
let me know of the consensus).
You can pick/volunteer on topics you will report on OR I will draw your names for the
topics to report.
Please send in to my email (please see match between my email address and yours –
google or yahoo and use as appropriate) 5 days prior to your presentation the OUTLINE of
your assigned topic and I will give comments. Upload to the GC the FULL TEXT of your topic
2 days prior to your presentation. This should be a good summary of your report in 5 to 7
pages – long bond, 1.5 spaces, margins of 0.8 on all sides and in MS Word.
You CAN OPT to prepare your PPT for presentation. You will have 30 minutes to present
and 15 minutes Q and A.
Reactors will be assigned per presentor for the Q and A (I will assign). This is to ensure
good participation. The class can give their questions as well.
Given the limited time, let us refrain from discussing “stories” or sharing cases of your
experiences relative to the topics anymore… these are all too commonly known. You can
simply cite examples but not a thorough sharing of stories.

III. Quality of reports and outputs.


The score card below will used as your guide for your output and presentation.

a. Comprehensiveness, thoroughness
b. Clear and organized; good transitions
c. Mechanics – grammar and structure/format
d. Timeliness of submission of outline and full text

2. PRESENTATION 15
a. Enthusiasm and energy
b. Elocution – quality and clarity of pronunciation and voice
c. Utilization of time- started and ended on time

3. COMPETENCE – overall knowledge and confidence on the 15


topic; ability to integrate theories/concepts with practice

TOTAL 50 points

IV. Requirements and Exams


There would be “minor” requirements besides the assigned topic. These might be
reflections, implications or insights from your end.
A class research will be required and volunteers or volunteered members will do the task.
They will not deliver/ be assigned to present a topic anymore. The data will be from the quick
survey.
There will be NO Midterm Exam.
A Final exam will be scheduled on either July 13,2021. Save the date as I cannot prepare
another set of exam. Failure to take the final exam will be a grade of INC.
The exam will be for 1.5 hours and you are to submit your answers via email or
attachment in messenger or to my account. (NOT SCREENSHOT OF YOUR
HANDWRITTEN ANSWERS.)
