I. OBJECTIVES
Along the 60-minutes session, the students are expected to:
1. Know how to estimate revenues through the forecasted selling volume and selling prices .
2. Compute for the projected revenue of their envisioned business.
3. Appreciate the importance of forecasting revenues in a business.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance and Classroom Management
4. Review of the Previous Topic (2 minutes)
A student will be called to give a review on the previous topic, about the business model.
5. Motivation (5 minutes)
A brain teaser PowerPoint presentation will be viewed by the students. The purpose of
this brain teaser is to test the logic and reasoning of the students.
B. Lesson Procedure
1. Activity – Pair Activity (15 minutes)
a. The teacher will tell the students to choose their partner/pair.
b. The teacher will show a scenario on the DLP.
c. Each pair will have to estimate the revenues presented in each scenario.
d. They will write their answers in a 1 whole sheet of paper.
e. Selected pairs will be chosen by the teacher to report their output in the class.

2. Analysis and Discussion (10 minutes)


a. How did you find the activity?
b. How did you estimate the revenues for each scenario?
c. What factor did you consider in estimating the revenues?

3. Abstraction (10 minutes)


With your pair, think of ways that a company/business could increase its revenue. Do you
think that increasing the price will always earn more revenue? Why? Or why not?
4. Application (15 minutes)
Each group in their business plan project will compute for their projected revenue (daily,
weekly, monthly, and annually) of their envisioned business. They will write their answers in a 1
whole sheet of paper, and each group must choose a representative to report their output in the
class.

IV. EVALUATION
Essay. What are the three (3) ways to estimate revenue for a business? - 5 points
Scoring Rubrics:
5 points - Gives the 3 ways in estimating revenues for a business.
4 points - Gives the 3 ways in estimating revenues for a business but with slight
grammatical and spelling errors.
3 points - Gives only 2 ways in estimating revenues.
2 points - Gives only 2 ways with significant grammatical and spelling errors.
1 point - Gives only 1 way in estimating revenus.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Research on how to forecast the costs to be incurred in starting a business.
