Reflection Essay (Heritage of Smallness)

Write a reflection essay focusing on two aspects; first, your personal thoughts on the
assertions of the author and the artistic value of the essay itself in Philippine literature.

Write your reflection through the enumeration of various reasons on why you agree or
disagree with the arguments of the author of the essay. Does the essay reflect our true identity
as Filipinos? What are the assertions that really reflect the true us, as a people and as a nation.

Evaluate the artistic value of the essay in Philippine literature. What can you say about
the style, mood, tone, and words that the author used in writing the work? What is the main
theme of the literary work?

Guidelines:

1. DO NOT JUST COPY PASTE INFORMATION. Write your reflection according to your PERSONAL
and COMMON beliefs, justifications and perspectives.
2. CITE YOUR REFERENCES IF THERE’S ANY.
3. FOLLOW APA FORMAT (6th or 7th edition)
3. Make sure to put a title to your reflection essay.
4. Arial 12, double space. One (1) inch margin on all sides.
5. This is a collaborative essay of a group consisting of 5-6 members. Make sure that you have
discussed with the group your individual perspectives on the essay. KAYO NA BAHALA MAG-
USAP-USAP KUNG SINO ANG MGA KASAMA NYO SA GRUPO.
6. Th essay must have at least 1200 words.
7. Submit it on or before 11:59 PM of January 17, 2021 through email at
jvantrajenda@ceis.edu.ph.
8. You may only start sending your output on January 16, 2021 at 12:01 PM.
