Think

1. What similarities do you see between yourself and [Paulyn C. Catinguel]? Give a
concrete example based on the letter he/ she wrote.

-I'm like Paulyn C. Catinguel in certain ways. We came from a really

straightforward and content household, which is why I had so many goals and dreams
while I was a student. Like her, my parents were also my first mentors. I was competitive
in grade school and high school, just like she was. Like her, I believe that getting an
education will help me fulfill my dream to one day provide for my family in a better way.
I graduated with high honors from senior high school after being an honors student in
junior high. We both credit our families for the fact that we continue to give it our all.
Like her, I initially believed that my aim was to simply support my family and pursue my
career goals, but as time passed, it expanded to encompass much more. I wish to offer my
assistance to those who are in need. In addition, I want to use my future profession to
benefit the neighborhood. Similar to her, I have also been helped by others in the past and
felt incredibly thankful, so I want to use my experience to help others and offer those
who are on the verge of defeat hope.

2. What is your biggest takeaway from his/her experience?

-Keep going even though you're having trouble and your self-esteem is
plummeting; instead, use your family as an inspiration to help you accomplish your goals.

3. Of the many experiences, which one is the most inspiring? What will you do in your life
starting today? Because of this inspiration? (Be as specific as possible)

-Despite the fact that she took three semesters off from studying (not consecutive),
she continued to have the goal of finishing college. Despite the difficulties she had to
endure, she gave it her all for her family and used them as inspirations to achieve her own
goal. I'm going to start doing my absolute best and giving it everything I've got to finish
my studies and graduate from college. Because of this encouragement, my way of
thinking has changed. Despite all the challenges and suffering I will endure, I will
continue to work toward achieving my goals in order to support my family and other
people in need.

Reflect

It is difficult to achieve success; you will go through many challenges and sufferings. At first,
you may think it was quite simple, but as time passes, difficulties and pains enter your life, and
there may be times when you question your ability to pursue your goals. The individual in this
drawing is similar to me in that, despite how difficult it was to achieve your goals, keep going
forward in your efforts because, after all the challenges and pains you will endure, an incredible
future will be waiting for you when you do. Climb higher and higher to achieve your goal.
