1. ABS brake
ABS brake is known as anti-lock braking system.
ABS is safety anti-skid braking system used in aircraft of land vehicles such as
cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses.
ABS helps use to control you vehicle or car in emergencies by restoring grip to
your tires. Which means it helps prevent wheels from locking up and possibly
allowing the driver to steer to safely.

ABS brake was first invented in the late 1960’s for the concorde air craft and
the first modern ABS brake was invented in 1971 by Mario Palazzetti in the Fiat
research center.
ABS brake have 4 main components. Which are:-
1. Wheel speed sensor
2. Valve
3. Controller and
4. Pump
2. Air bag
Air bad is bag filled with air which is used for safety purpose also can be used
for cushion. Mostly air bad are used for safety drive and they are installed in an
automobile to decrease the impact of collision.
Air bag was invented in the early 1951. The air bag used in cars was invented by

Air bags contain a chemical called sodium azide (NaN3) at the heart of the airbag
reaction. Crashes trip sensors in cars that send and electrical signal to ignitor. The
heat generated cause sodium azide to decompose into sodium metal and
nitrogen gas which fills the car’s air bags.

3. Credit Card
Credit card is a type of credit facility, provided by banks that allow customers to
borrow funds within pre-approved credit limit.
Credit card allows customers to make purchase transactions on goods and
services also to make balance transfer
Credit card’s idea has been around for many years but John Biggins claims to
invent the modern day credit card in 1946.
It works by letting you borrow money from the credit card issuer to buy goods and
to get services.

4. Digital camera
Digital camera is a hardware devise that takes photos and stores the pictures as
a data on memory card or any devices that can access pictures.
Digital camera was first invented in1975 by Steve Sasson.
It have many uses. Some of them are:-
I. For taking photos and videos
II. Create insurance record
III. For making business card
IV. For keeping memories with family and friends

5. DNA testing
DNA testing is also known as genetic testing. DNA testing is technique used to identify
the changes in DNA sequence or chromosome change.

DNA testing was invented by Sir Alec Jeffrey in 1984. He discovered the technique of DNA
testing to determine a genetic fingerprint.

Some of the uses of DNA testing are:-

✓ to track down blood relative

✓ to look for cures for diseases
✓ for evidences in courts
✓ to identify bodies
6. Eye laser surgery

Eye laser surgery, which also known as Lasik, is a type of refractive surgery
for the correction of myopia or hyperopia.
Lasik is the actual cure astigmatism. It was invented in 1974.
Lasik is used to improve short sightedness, long sightedness and astigmatism.

7. Long life, low-energy light bulb

Long life, low-energy light bulb are types of bulbs that uses low energy and
have a long life term.
It’s also called compact florescent lightbulbs.
The main uses of compact florescent lightbulb is:-
• It uses low energy
• It have longer life term than most of lambs in use this days

8. Microwave oven
Microwave oven is an electrical oven that heats and cools foods by
exposing them to electromagnetic radiation.
Microwave wave first invented in 1955.
It’ main use for cooking purpose and also it can be used for heating in many
industrial processes.

9. Smart Phones
Smart phones are electronic devices that helps us to connect to the
internet and cellular network. For the first time smart went on sales in
1994.
Some of the uses of smart phone is:-
✓ For entertainment
✓ To get local information
✓ Access social media and participate in them
10. Smoke Detector
Smoke detector is device that detects smoke as indicator of fire. It works
by detecting particles in the air around it. Smoke detector was invented in
1965
by Duane Pearsall and Stanley Bennett.
The main uses of smoke detector is it gives alarm when there is fire around the
area which helps to save many people lives.
