INTRODUCTION

The Torq-MaticTM is the only fully automated floor wrench in its class. Featuring advanced
performance in torque and speed, it delivers reliable, proven service. At 7,600 lbs and sitting in a
tight footprint, the unit extends 75 inches and rotates 359 degrees. It can develop up to 90,000
ft*lbs of Make-Up torque and 120,000 ft*lbs of Break-Out torque. Make-Up or Break-Out functions
can be performed within 17 seconds. The Torq-Matic is operated by a Programmable Logic
Controller (PLC) and includes an integrated pipe spinner with a four roller drive. Featuring an
exceptionally refined design, the wrench arm extends to both the Mouse Hole and Hole Centre.

The Spinner can easily rotate 9 1/2” drill collars and 2 7/8” drill pipe without mechanical changes to
the spinner. The wrench jaws can accommodate tubular sizes between 2 7/8” and 11” without
mechanical adjustment of the jaws or the tong dies. The integrated spinner automatically spins all
tubulars in and out during Make-Up or Break-Out operations.

The option for radio controlled operation allows the unit to be operated from the Driller’s Console or
from various rig floor locations. System Lockouts ensure instant shut down in the event of a
problem. Automatic Controls provide one touch operation. Select Manual Override to perform
unique tasks in situations where automatic operation is not possible.

The Pipe Profiler feature allows up to 10 different torque values to be preset and selected with one
touch using the Command Screen. Once the torque has been selected, the Torq-Matic will provide
uniform Make-Up for every joint, thus reducing the need for re-cuts on the tool joints.

From improving efficiency to limiting lost-time accidents, the Torq-Matic will decrease the need for
manual tubular handling, increase productivity, limit workplace accidents, reduce the damage to
tubulars, consistently Make-Up and Break-Out as well as fit a full range of tubulars without the need
for adjustment.

The Torq-Matic is also light-weight, easy to operate, and comes with a complete Warranty and
Maintenance Schedule.
