SCIENCE QUIZ BEE: A BRIDGE FOR STUDENTS’ DEVELOPMENT

According to Edward Teller, “The science of today is the technology of tomorrow “Science is not
about experiments but practically applying those in real life situation. Despite of overwhelming
consequences of the pandemic, this global crisis has also been an extraordinary time of learning. Science
Quiz Bee District Level conducted last March 4, 2022 at Bobontugan Elementary School, Participant are all
school in Jasaan North Distict.
Days prior to the contest, a meeting initiated by the District Science Coordinator Headed by Maam
Nardita E. Tadlas with the representative of School Science Coordinator from Jasaan North District. The
meeting focused on the plans, contest mechanics, rules and regulations of the upcoming Science Quiz Bee.
San Nicolas Elementary School conducted a school level contest to identify the potential student to
join the said contest.
The quiz bee went smoothly and organized accordingly. Eight schools from Jasaan North District
participated in Science Quiz Bee.
The quiz bee started with an opening program, attended by the Schools District Supervisor, Maam
Cydel P. Valmores , the host school head, the district science coordinator, the school principal of
participating school are also present.
The contest proper immediately took place after the opening program, The participants proceed in
their respective rooms, where the contest areas were assigned. Before the morning ends, an awarding
program was conducted to give recognitions and certificate who won in the quiz bee. As part of the
agreement in the rules and regulation stipulated in the Division memorandum the student from schools that
got the highest score will compete in the division level.
The awarding program took place and the winners were given recognition and certificate.
