1. The portfolio is considered as your OAR, what does this acronym mean? Explain
each meaning.

ANSWER:

Observation makes you keenly aware of and sensitive to the learner and the
learning environment.
Analyzing what you observe and do, trains you to become a critical thinker.
Reflecting on your experiences makes you a lifelong learner.

2. Based on CHED Memo Order No. 30, s. 2004. What are Field Study Subjects for?

ANSWER:

Field Study courses are intended to provide students with practical learning
experiences in which that can observe, verify, reflect on, and experience the
different components of the teaching-learning process in actual school settings.

Intended learning outcomes refer to what you can do accomplish, achieve, or


become as a result of a learning experience. This is the heart of the Outcomes-
Based Education or OBE which you will surely learn more about. To explain it
simply, OBE neatly organizes or aligns what you will learn, the activities you and
your teachers will work on and how you will be assessed, while focusing on you as
the learner and the outcome of what you will be – a world class teacher.

ANSWER:

a. Effective learning begins with setting clear expectations and learning outcomes.
b. Learning is an active process. “What I hear, I forget; what I see, I remember;
what I do, I understand.”
c. Learning is the discovery of the personal meaning if ideas. Students are given
the opportunity to connect what they learn with other concepts learned, with real
world experiences and with their own lives.
d. Learning is a cooperative and a collaborative process.

ANSWER:

It is sound teaching practice for a teacher to “begin with the end in mind” and to
share his/her lesson objectives or intended learning outcomes with his/her
students because the main reason why teachers teach is because they want to
impart knowledge to students thus students should know what they are learning
and why they are learning such knowledge.

10. Do SMART objectives help the lesson become more focused?

ANSWER:

Yes. The teacher teaches the applying of three domains. So the students can use
their cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Knowledge and learning can be
controlled effectively and efficiently through following the learning objectives.
Also, the set goals will make the delivery of the lesson be well – directed and
concentrated on the established aims and goals.
