Note: Before assembly, lubricate the pins with 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound.
(1) Outside diameter of the pin ... 69.761 ± 0.030 mm (2.7465 ± 0.0012 inch)

Note: Install the bearings so that the separation line (fracture plane) is aligned with the mark that is shown in the horizontal centerline of the
bearing.

(2) Inside diameter of the bearing ... 69.825 to 69.850 mm (2.7490 to 2.7500 inch)

(3) Valve assembly (charging)

Installation torque for the valve ... 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in)

Closure torque for the swivel nut ... 7 ± 1 N·m (62 ± 9 lb in)
Torque for the valve cap ... 2.5 ± 0.5 N·m (22.1 ± 4.4 lb in)

(4) Torque for the relief valve ... 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft)

(A) Outside diameter of the rod assembly ... 177.749 ± 0.050 mm (6.9980 ± 0.0020 inch)

(B) Inside diameter of the head over two lands ... 177.88 ± 0.03 mm (7.003 ± 0.001 inch)

(C) Bore diameter of the cylinder assembly ... 215.85 to 216.03 mm (8.498 to 8.505 inch)

(D) Outside diameter of the rod assembly over two lands ... 213.87 ± 0.13 mm (8.420 ± 0.005 inch)

(5) Lubricate the sealing lip of the lip type seal with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Note: Approximately 12.00 L (3.17 US gal) of SAE 10W oil with the current service classification is necessary in order to charge a cylinder.

Charging medium ... Dry nitrogen

Internal volume ... 10 L (610 in3)

Note: Use FT1680 Gauge Block in order to achieve the dimension for the full charge of oil and nitrogen. See Testing and Adjusting, "Suspension
Cylinder (Rear) - Purge and Charge" for the charging procedure.
