1 ONGOING INSPECTION CHECK LIST
1.01 Confirm material are clean and, stored indoor. All materials such as: Tubing, Piping components of Ongoing
≤ 2 inches, Pipe Fittings of ≤ 1.5 inches, all stainless steel and other exotic materials fitting and
flanges, Valves of ≤ 1.5 inches, Specialty item of ≤ 2 inches, Spring support, Special tools, all stud
and anchor bolts etc. shall be stored in this condition.
1.02 Contractor shall follow the maintenance requirements issued by Vendor or manufacturer in regards Ongoing
with the preservation work of Non-ferrous materials equipment and GRP piping.
1.03 Bolts and Nuts shall be free of corrosion, damage, dirt and grit before coating the threads with Ongoing
lubricant.
1.04 Lubricants shall be applied to the full threads of both studs and nuts and also to the load face of the Ongoing
nuts, prior to assembly.
1.05 No thread lubricant for any bolting shall contain lead. Thread lubricants for bolting used with Ongoing
austenitic flanges shall not contain chlorides, zinc, sulfur and I or low melting-metallic constituents.
1.06 Pipe storage area must be self-draining, concrete paved or decked. Ongoing

1.07 After unloading of shop fabricated pipe, an inspection should be made to ensure pipe spools are Ongoing
not damaged and all end covers are in place. Any missing end covers shall be replaced.
1.08 All random length pipes shall be identified as specified. Ongoing

1.09 Protection covers and plugs shall be of original packing for all materials. If water or dirt ingress due Ongoing
to damaged or improperly secured covers, the pipes shall be cleaned and covered with durable
end caps.
1.10 The end protection shall be inspected and securely installed in monthly basis, and repair them as Ongoing
necessary.
1.11 Check material is free from mechanical damage. Ongoing

1.12 Confirm all paint/surface coatings are free from damage. Ongoing

1.13 Plastic wrapping shall be removed for outdoor storage. Ongoing

1.14 Ensure material that is installed is protected suitably from any ongoing construction activities to Ongoing

1.15 Confirm preservation tag or label is fitted & updated. Ongoing
