Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP)- The ECARP is a national program that
addresses the thrust of DepED to make every Filipino child a reader at his/her
own level. It is designed to equip elementary pupils with strategic reading and
writing skills to make them independent young readers and writers.
Alternative Learning System (ALS)-Ang ALS ay programa ni DEPED na
naglalayong matulungan ang mga out ofschool youth, mga manggagawa, may
kapansanan, bagong laya, mga katutubo na hindi nakapagaral but willing na matuto.
Science Teacher Researchers’ Invention Program (SPTRIP)- Promote academic
excellence in science via the conduct of science fair, quiz & sci-dama in
consonance with the National Science Fair
Cash Grant to Medical Students Enrolled in State Universities and Colleges
(CGMS-SUCs) aims to provide tuition fee subsidy and financial assistance to all
medical students enrolled in identified SUCs offering Doctor of Medicine
Program.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is responsible


for the formulation and implementation of policies, guidelines, and rules related to
environmental management, as well as the management and conservation of the
country's natural resources.
Scaling Up Of Coastal And Marine Ecosystem Program
Priority Activities Are The Following:
(1) Development Of Bio-Diversity Friendly Enterprises;
(2) Maintenance And Protection Of Coastal And Marine Ecosystems; And
(3) .Coral Reef And Sea Grass Assessment
Intensified Environmental Protection: Solid Waste Management- Main Priority Is
To Improve The Quality Of Our Environment, Particularly Our Air, Water And

For Solid Waste Management, Our Priority Activities Are The Following:
(1) Closure Of Dumpsites; And (2) Establishment Of Material Recovery Facilities
(Mrfs)

The DTI has six (6) major functional groups (fgs) which report directly
 Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG) – Established in support of Agenda
3 of the President’s 0+10 socio-economic agenda to increase competitiveness,
innovation, and ease of doing business.
Consumer Protection Group (CPG) – In-charge of the enforcement of laws to
protect consumers, consumer education, and formation of consumer groups.
Industry Development and Trade Policy Group (IDTPG) – Responsible for trade
and industry policy formulation and implementation of the Manufacturing
Resurgence Program.
Management Services Group (MSG) – Ensures operational efficiency within the
Department by providing support services to all units to properly equip them in
the performance of their respective functions.
Regional Operations Group (ROG) – Responsible for the field operations of the
DTI in the regions and provinces.
Trade Promotions Group (TPG) – Responsible for DTI’s export and investment
development program.

SMERA- is a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and
medium enterprises (msmes) to become competitive in the domestic and

 Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)- is an employment-


bridging programme that aims to provide temporary employment to
disadvantaged youth to augment their family’s income and help ensure that
beneficiaries are able to pursue their education. 
 LABOR EDUCATION FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS (LEGS)- which aims to
prepare the students in the world of work. The program will help graduating
students become familiar with DOLE’s services on employment facilitation,
workers protection and social security coverage for the employees.

The Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHDP) targets adolescents
aged 10-19 years. It is mainly guided by the Convention on the Rights of Children
which states that the program must be in the best interests of the child.

encountering degenerative diseases. This program primarily aims to promote

NCIP- Oct.22, 1997 is the agency of the national government of the Philippines
that is responsible for protecting the rights of the indigenous peoples of the
Philippines.
IP Education and Advocacy Services- The Educational Assistance Program. It is
the program that aims to provide limited financial assistance to qualified ICCs/IPs
students/pupils based on the criteria set
Culturally Appropriate Responsive and Gender-Sensitive Socio-Economic And
Ecology Development Protection Services-The program provides for policy support
and extension of assistance to ICCs/IPs through funding under the MOOE of the
Commission apart from coordination with pertinent government agencies especially
charged with the implementation of various socio-economic services, policies, and
programs affecting the ICCs/IPs to ensure that the ICCs/IPs are directly
benefited.

A School of Living Traditions (SLT) is one where a living master/culture bearer or
culture specialist teaches skills and techniques of doing a traditional art or craft.
The mode of teaching is usually non-formal, oral and with practical
demonstrations. The site maybe the house of the living master, a community social
hall, or a center constructed for the purpose.
