Câu 1: Write an assignment on the following topic:

Problems when buying products from e-stores and high street stores and solutions.

Nowadays, there are two main types of shopping: online shopping and in-store
shopping. If you want to buy products, can be purchased at E-stores or high street stores.
Both forms are widely used, no matter which method of shopping, customers will face to
problems that both ways of shopping can bring to customers.

Undeniably, the birth of the internet has reshaped and redefined almost every aspect
of human’s life including the way we shop. While it is not difficult to see why online
shopping is one of the most popular uses of the internet, there are some important problems
which also need to be put into consideration. Initially, since people are unable to touch or
to see the products they want to buy in reality, it is always hard for them to examine the
quality of these products. More over, all of the pictures of the products have been photo-
shopped in order to attract more buyers. As a result, they might purchase the products with
poor quality. It is especially challenging to shop for fashion items since people cannot try
them on. For example, a sweater may look perfect on the model in the picture, but one can
expect to be disappointed when she actually puts it on. In addition, as the consumers do not
feel happy with the products they had bought online, they tend to abandon these products
or don't use them at all. This is definitely a waste of money. Moreover, buying products on
the Internet often makes people confused since there are a great number of stores on the
Internet. To be specific, the buyers might see the same products in several shops, but the

prices for these items can be very different, ranging from reasonable to prohibitedly
expensive. Consequently, they will not know which products they should purchase. And
finally, another very common problem with online shopping you can face while shopping
online: delivery delays. A courier or logistics company could face delays in getting your
shipment for delivery because of non-availability of fleet, delays in processing the package
or late arrivals from the point of origin.

If buying products from E-stores has such typical problems, so buying products
from High street stores has the following problems. First, we need to spend a lot of time for
shopping at high street stores. For example, to buy a motorbike, if you go to high street
stores, you can spend all day on asking about price and information of the product.
Meanwhile, if you surf the internet, you can get full information about the product in several
clicks; especially, it can be sent fully by the selling staff as soon as you visit their websites.
In addition, the price of product bought in high street stores are usually more expensive
than that of one bought in E-stores.

So what is the solution to those problems? For buying products from E-stores. You
should only choose to buy at reputable sales addresses, of brands. If it's a small and new
sales site, look at customer feedback and only buy if it's returned. With cothes, you should
browse product reviews on the site, and check the sizing charts before you buy. It's also
helpful to have people's measurements on hand. You can also look on different blogs and
YouTube channels to get a better look at clothes in a different light. You should also provide
the right address and making sure you’re available to take delivery. For buying products
from High street store, you should check prices on websites to avoid being bought at a high
price. You should also consult the sales staff to save your shopping time.

In conclusion, whether buying products from E-stores or high street stores, it still
depends on the deciding factor is you. We can experience both ways and then find a way
to shop that suits us.

Câu 2: Situation:

Student A is a customer and student B is a sales representative of XYZ company. A bought


a product from B’s company. However, when receiving the product, A found out that the
instructions and remote control were missing. Moreover, there was a small scratch on the
product. Make a phone dialogue in which A complains about these problems and asks for

repayment while B gives some explanation and offers a compromise. Finally, A agrees on
a product replacement plus 10% discount.

B: Good afternoon, this is XYZ company. I’m B, a sales representative of company. How
may I help you ?

A: Good afternoon, my name is A. I call for you because there was some problems with the
product I ordered from the website of your company on Friday.

B: I’m really sorry to hear that. So, what product did you order? Can you provide for me
some product information ?

A: Of course, I ordered a smart televition, the product ID is DEF6688.

B: Thank you for purchasing our product. What's wrong with this product?

A: I received the product this morning, I was unhappy to find that the product the company
sent me was missing the instructions and the remote control. Moreover, there was a small
scratch on the product. Although love this product but I felt very disappointed after
receiving the product. So I called to ask the company for a repayment for this product,
because it didn't meet my requirements.

B: I am terribly sorry about that. Maybe in the process of packaging product, our staff forgot
to the instructions and remote control, so they were missing. A small scratch on the product
can also be caused by the shipping company were not careful to scratch your product. We
are ashamed to make you unhappy. Can we exchange for you a new product without any
extra cost?

A: This is the product I purchased to give to my parents on their 50th wedding anniversary,
they also love it because it is the latest product, indeed I do not want to return this product.
However, the anniversary has passed, I wanted a refund for this product.

B: To apologize for interrupting your plans, our company will replace you with a new
product and plus 10% discount. This is all that we can compensate.

A: That’s so good, I agree your request. I will send the defective product to your company.

B: As soon as we receive the product, we will immediately give for you a product
replacement plus 10% discount, Thank you.
