Тема. Travelling
Мета. Формувати навички вживання нових лексичних одиниць з теми
«Подорож», удосконалювати компетенції читання, усного та
діалогічного мовлення. Розвивати готовність до практичного
застосування отриманих знань з теми «Подорож», зорову пам’ять, увагу.
Виховувати пізнавальний інтерес до вивчення англійської мови, повагу
до інших учнів класу, цілеспрямованість.
Обладнання: підручник, зошит з друкованою основою, мультимедійна
презентація, відео-матеріали, наочність.

I. Організація учнів до уроку.
1. Greeting.
- Good morning, students. My name is Anna Andriivna. Today I am your English
teacher.
- What is your name? (My name is…)
- How are you? I'm fine.
- What day is it today? (Thursday)
- What is the date? (Sixth of October)
- Children, do you like to travel? (Yes! I like to travel./ No! I don't like to travel.)

1. Фонетична розминка.
- Listen to the poem and tell me what he it about?
Over the mountains, Carrying passengers,
Over the plains, Carrying mail,
Over the rivers Over the country
Here come trains Here come trains.
- What is this poem about? (about trains and passengers)
- Repeat after me. (read each line)
- Repeat after me: th, the, the plain, сarrying.
- We all read together.
- Read individually.
2. Лексична розминка
- What types of transport do you know? (bus, car, bicycle, plane)
- What kind of transport do you like to use? I like to use the car.
- It is comfortable to travel by bus? (I am not comfortable travelling by bus)

IV. Повідомлення теми і мети уроку.
1. Аssociations.
- Look at a series of pictures. What word do you associate them with?

- Lesson topic "Travelling". Сьогоднні ми будемо говорити про подорож, будемо

вчити нові слова, займатися діалогічним мовленням, писати та читати про
подорож.

V. Основна частина уроку.

1. Listen, point and repeat.
- We will learn new words. Look at the pictures and repeat after me.

- We all read together.

- We read one by one.
- There are only one pictures left. Let's read.
- And now I call the number of the picture, and you call the word. Number 1..., number
6..., number 4....
2. Listen, read and act out.
- Listen to the dialogue and say what time they should meet at the train station.

- So what time will they meet at the station? (They will meet at 3 o'clock in the
afternoon.)
- We read the dialogue in roles.
3. Listen and read.
- Listen to the translation of the words. Read and translate the following sentences.
- miss [mɪs] – сумувати.
1) to miss somebody (сумувати за кимось).
- Read and translate. My mother misses me when I am on my holidays far from home.
When we come to our grandparents they always say, We missed you very much. (Моя
мама сумує за мною, коли я на канікулах далеко від дому. Коли ми приходимо до
наших бабусь і дідусів, вони завжди кажуть: «Ми дуже сумували за тобою».)
- arrive [əˈraɪv] – прибути.
to arrive in England (прибути в Англію), to arrive in a big city (прибути у велике
місто), to arrive at small town (прибути в маленьке місто), to arrive at the railway
station (прибути на залізничну станцію).
- Read and translate. He arrived yesterday. When is the train arriving? (Він прибув
учора. Коли прибуває поїзд?)
- leave [liːv] – залишати.
to leave home (вийти з дому), leave the station (залишити станцію).
- Read and translate. The train leaves at 5. When does the train number 177 leave for
London? (Поїзд відправляється о 5. Коли відправляється поїзд № 177 до
Лондона?)
- platform ['plætfa:m] – платформа.
- Read and translate. Which platform does the train to London leave from?
(З якої платформи відправляється потяг до Лондона?)
- trip [trɪp] – поїздка.
a nice trip (гарна поїздка)
- Read and translate. Have a nice trip! Trip is a short travelling. We're on our trip to
Scotland. (Гарної подорожі! Поїздка коротка. Ми в нашій подорожі до Шотландії.)
- information desk [inla'meifn desk] - довідковий стіл.
- Read and translate. Where is the information desk? if you need any information you
may get some at the information desk. (Де довідкова стійка? якщо вам потрібна
будь-яка інформація, ви можете отримати її на довідковій стійці.)

4. Make sentences.
- Look, read and say as in the example.
1) Yes. She is going by train.
3) Yes. She is going by plane.
4) Yes. He is going by plane.
5) No. they aren't. They are going by car.
6) No. She is going by ship.
5. Work in a copybook.
- Now, do exercise one in copybooks. Write as in the example:
1) Ann/ bus Ann is going to travel by bus.
- Attention, you have 3 minutes to complete.
2) Mike and Jake/ tram Mike and Jake are going to travel by tram.
3) My parents/ plane My parents are going to travel by plane.
4) My friend / bike My friend is going to travel by bike.
5) My grandma/ ship My grandma is going to travel by ship.
6) Allan/ car Allan is going to travel by car.
6. An exercise with columns.
- Now let's make sentences using the words from the columns.

- Let's translate the first column.

last summer - минулого літа, тобто коли відбулася родорож.
- Let's translate the second column. (Хто подорожував?)
my friends – мої друзі
Nick and Mike – Нік і Майк
the Browns – Брауни
my parents and I – мої батькі і я
the boys - хлопці
my classmates – мої однокласники.
- The third column. (Що робили?)
traveled to - подорожував до.
- Let's translate the fourth column. (Місце подорожі)
- You need to add the transport you travelled. (Вам потрібно самостійно додати
транспорт.)
- Example: Last summer the boys travelled to Kyiv by bus.
7. Exercise "Lost Words".

3. "Do you know when the train from Oxford arrive?" - "Sorry I don't know. Look at
the time-table board please."
4. "How did you get to the railway station?" "We went by taxi "
5. "Where is your luggage?"
