submitted after the deadline will be marked from a maximum of 60%.

▪ Your submission Deadline (individual) can be extended with


special permission of the instructor in some extreme cases.

▪ Literature/Research papers/Handouts provided will be used for


assessment.

Course objectives
▪ To give students a broad introduction to the subject of contract management in order
to manage contractual issues in the industry.

▪ To acquaint the course participants comprehensively and at considerable depth with


construction contract management knowledge by using up-to-date literature and
research on a highly interesting, challenging, and increasingly important area of the
construction industry.

▪ To motivate the students in applying their acquired contract management knowledge


to construction projects (involved directly or indirectly) of different types and
complexity levels.

Assessments
3 x Assignments/ Presentations (10 % Weightage)
▪ Participants are expected to show that they can convincingly
discussed in class with their construction project-related professional work.
Assignments can be written in typed form and must be submitted in the next
class.
▪ Each participant will deliver one to two presentations on the assigned topic by
the instructor. The presentation may also be delivered in groups comprising 3
students maximum.

4 x Quizzes (10 % Weightage)


Quizzes will be conducted without mentioning the date and time in advance.
Quizzes may include fill-in-the-blanks or true /false or multiple-choice
questions.

Assessments
• End Semester Examination/Final Exam (40 % Weightage)
▪ Participants will be required to creatively apply their knowledge to answer
all mandatory questions. In preparing for this three-hour-long
examination, note that the entire course material is relevant and that the
questions asked may relate to any part of it.
▪ Students who demonstrate excellent command over all areas of the course
and who can present innovative ideas and approaches to problem
situations can expect to perform very well in this examination which, given
its weightage, will primarily determine the student’s overall GPA.
▪ Do not underestimate the difficulty level of this examination!
