I would like to publicly speak today. Than you.

Tony 2:26 PM
For me Social Equity equals simply opportunity.

Jim Makoso 2:27 PM

Well said Tony

As a former Assistant State Attorney and Civil Rights Attorney I’m going to refer people to
Shelton and Saad v. WSLCB et al in the 9th Circuit where the LCB just requested an Extension of
time in which to respond. Read it and you will learn a lot about the true history here. Case No.

Also read RK Ventures, Inc. v. City of Seattle, 307 F.3d 1045, 1058 (9th Cir. 2002) — WSLCB
worked with City of Seattle to discriminate against Black interests.

Kevin Shelton is signing on too. You should read the Declaration I wrote with his lawyer Michael
S. Reid, who opened 160/600 of the original medical dispensaries in case Ollie Garrett and crew
try to discount us.

He said the WSLCB policies had a disparate impact on Blacks and now Kevin has been before
them 3x during the Social Equity Era and got bupkis.

Thank you for the report. It is fascinating that the LCB was warned many years ago by people
like Aaron Bossett that their program would not work. Illinois got it right as noted by this
Canacon story:
https://cannacon.org/chicago-weed-convention/

Of the lottery-selected businesses, 41% are majority Black-owned, 7% are majority White-
owned and 4% are majority Latino-owned, while 38% of awardees did not disclose owner race.
The next step for these businesses is to select a physical storefront location and obtain the full
Adult Use Dispensing Organization License within 180 days.

I have a question 🙋

Lauren King, Staff 3:37 PM

I have you first on the list for next public comment period at 4:30.

Christopher King (You) 3:17 PM

I’ve been trying to sign up I just see comments. I do not see where Sami signed up.

Christopher King (You) 3:26 PM

I definitely need to address this bogus notion of a “personal attack”

Emerald City Collective Gardens 3:32 PM

Lauren, Peter Manning would like to speak as well

Lauren King, Staff 3:47 PM

Thanks, Mike. I have him on the list.

Tony 3:32 PM
Feel free to email me, and diccuss further.

Lauren King, Staff 3:46 PM

Please email healthequity@sboh.wa.gov with your full feedback on the report. We'd love to
hear from you.

Christopher King (You) 3:34 PM

You called Sami twice. I need to go twice. And also he is correct giving someone a hard 2
minutes like that is ridiculous. You ran Kevin Shelton and me off once before.

Hello I am new to these meetings. I am wondering how many licenses will be given out, and
how many are will be given to black women?

Lauren King, Staff 4:17 PM

Currently, forty-one (41) licenses have been reserved for social equity. Twenty-four (24) of
those licenses are in areas with bans or moratoriums, leaving only 17 viable licenses available
for social equity applicants.

Christopher King (You) 4:03 PM

Thanks!

The social equity application process on page 21 seems a little confusing. Will that be clarified?
