Statement of Purpose

Template and Guidance

The Statement of Purpose is a core document as part of your application to BPP. We will use this
document to evaluate whether you are suitable for your chosen programme of study and to confirm
that you are a genuine and credible student.

We are only able to offer a place to students who:

 Meet the academic and English entry criteria for the chosen programme
 Can demonstrate that the chosen programme will genuinely enhance their career goals
 Will meet the additional criteria set out by the UKVI to be granted a study visa*

It is therefore extremely important that you put significant effort into completing this statement of
purpose.

Instructions

1. Read all the questions and do your own research

2. Complete each section. We expect a minimum of 350 words per section
3. Ask a colleague or friend to read your statement and give you feedback (you might want to
do several drafts)
4. Make sure you are writing in your OWN words – DO NOT ‘cut and paste’ from websites or
other resources
5. You can use a spell checker, but you will also need to proofread your statement for spelling
and grammar (or you may ask a friend or colleague to do so)
6. Be honest – do not exaggerate on your achievements – remember you may be required to
attend an interview by either BPP University or a representative of the UK Home Office to
secure your visa and they will use this statement to ask questions
7. Make sure you allow enough time to complete this statement and to get it reviewed

*Criteria include, ability to finance the course, appropriate personal circumstances, evidence of
appropriate level of English, ability to clearly demonstrate that the programme of study will
genuinely enhance your career prospects

Additional Notes

1. If you are applying for a second Masters’ programme, please ensure you explain clearly
why the second programme will help you with your future career
2. If you have not completed a programme at a previous institution (for example if you
exited with a certificate or diploma) please explain why this happened
3. If your previous study is in a different academic discipline, please explain why you are
changing
4. If there has been a time gap between your previous studies, please tell us what you have
been doing during this time
SECTION 1: Personal Introduction and Background

This section should be used to introduce yourself and explain what you have
studied/accomplished to date. Please include the following:

Where have you learned English and how have you developed your language skills?

This section should be used to explain what you want to do now. It should build on the previous

Section 1: Personal Information and Background (max 350 words)

My name is Bhupinder Kaur d/o Karam Singh and I reside in Vill Bahadur Hussain Khurd PO
Massanian Tehsil Batala, Gurdaspur, Pin: 143506 and my passport number is V4721818. I
have always been an 'A' student and have been a part of various extracurricular activities
like sports, online gaming competitions, debates, research project competitions etc. I am
thankful to my college as it has given me many opportunities and platforms to certify.

My Interests are Gaming, Sports, Athletics,Traveling and Exploring new cultures. I respect all
cultures as every culture is unique in its own way. I also like meeting people from various
walks of life in order to develop a clear and a broader mindset.
I consider myself fortunate enough to come from a career-oriented family that supports all
my decisions and also provides me with the best guidance possible.

According to my academics I have completed my matriculation from Punjab School

Education Board in 2019 with 68.15% marks. Then in 2021 I passed higher secondary from
the same board and got 83.8% marks. Now my aim is to pursue my bachelor degree from
UK. It is the best destination for international students. They will learn a lot of things from
there and easily set their future career. I chose BPP University and chose Bsc (Hons)
Accounting and Finance with Digital Business. This course is suitable based on my last
qualification which has Mathematics.

Bsc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Digital Business program has been designed to help me gain a solid
foundation of accountancy alongside modern digital and data knowledge that can enhance my opportunities to
join any organization. Its modules are developed in partnership with global accounting employers and
professional bodies, so they align to business needs of the future. In this course, I will learn the real-life
application of accounting and finance while developing my knowledge in data, technology and general
business. During this course, I will learn from experienced industry professionals, in the heart of London, in
highly interactive small group teaching and study support sessions. It includes the Professional and Academic
Skills for Success (PASS) element, a non-credit bearing module which will help me to build a strong foundation
of academic skills. Bsc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Digital Business is a Innovative learning platform
where I can access all my learning materials, connect and find help from tutors and fellow students. In last,
After completion of my degree, I am eligible for exemptions from selected professional examinations offered by
the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants England
and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

I chose BPP University London as the institute for my postgraduate studies because I believe that BPP
