Music video Idea generation

Idea 1

Old style could involve flashbacks to transition into the other story of the new day. Old style
using colour grading and aspect ratio. Man in his old days doing something he loves and has
a passion for and then hims still doing it now but it's not as good. Dementia and the only
things he really recolects is his dance moves but the partner he used to dance with is dead
and he still does his same routine everyday and tries to get memories of his best days and
flashbacks.

A child is playing a video game (a retro looking type of video game that's fairly simple) and
the other part of the parallel story is the perspective of the person in the video game and
their point of view of the video game.

- 18+ Niche
- Person becomes so tired from not being able to sleep he starts to hallucinate and
see random weird things that have happened in his life that would be seen as normal
but the hallucinations turn them weird.

- A man lives a lonely life and doesn't really have much going on for him and its show
a woman who is living her life not really much going on for her either but and it shows
there boring lifes until one day they bump into each other and their paths cross ( the
music video will slowly fading from black and white to colour when they finally bump
into each other)

Why i have chosen the final idea
- After doing surveys, focus groups and also target audience interviews I concluded
that idea 1 will be the best production for me to produce and also adapt as my
research goes along. I personally really like the idea as it lets me be creative with all
of the different shot types I can use, the editing techniques that could be
experimented with and how they can show the storyline in an even better way. All of
the answers I received when sending the ideas seemed as if all of the answers
added up to suit the idea I had really nicely and all of the ideas I had for the editing
techniques tied in really nicely with my idea. This was originally my favourite idea so
the fact that the target audience research backed up the idea with their answers and
what they would like to see in a music video solidified my idea and confirmed what i
wanted to do
