Drawing. someone familiar with aircraft vacuum or
pressure systems.
The DGO 9 has the same requirements as a
standard gyro.
If it is installed as a replacement for a standard
D.G. no special precaution should be needed.
If the DGO 9 is installed as an additional
instrument one must be sure that the aircraft
vacuum or pressure system can handle the
additional load. It is not sufficient to check
the gauge for the proper setting as if the pump
is overloaded it may not put out the proper
amount at higher altitudes and the pump life
may be reduced.
3/8"hose is recommended. Small hose can
result in reduced vacuum to the instrument
even though the system vacuum gauge is
indicating properly.

ALL NARCOWHOLESALEDISTRIBUTORS

SUBJECT: DGO-9A/DGO-10

We have made arrangements with Castleberry Instruments and Avionics in

Austin, Texas to service DGO-9A ' s and DGO-10 ' s. Effective immediately
all DGO's that would ordinarily be sent to NARCO factory service or
AIM for repair should be sent directly to:

Castleberry Instruments & Avionics

Tims Airpark
817 Dessau Road
Austin, Texas 78753

This facility is approved for both instrument and avionics repair and
consequently can service both the gyro and the converter portion of the
DGO.

Sending the malfunctioning units direct to Austin will minimize time and
expense for your customer DGO' s should
. not be sent to Fort Washington
for service. We would merely send them to Castleberry, thus incurring
additional shipping expense.

If the DGO to be serviced is in warranty, please supply proof of warranty

to Castleberry and they will handle it under the normal warranty coverage.
If the DGO is out of warranty, Castleberry will bill the sender direct.
Remember these gyro devices may be damaged by rough handling so they must
always be shipped by air. Be sure to include a note giving as much informa-
tion as possible regarding the observed malfunction thus expediting its
repair.
