3.

Come up with a graphic presentation of the milestones of the various

aspects of physical    development (proximodistal and cephalocaudal patterns,
height and weight during infancy and toddlerhood). For details, refer to the
Philippines Early Learning and Development Standards. Cite implication/s of each
milestone to parenting.

Milestones give you a clear set of skills to keep an eye on eye

so you know where your child stands. They also help you know what
to expect next, so you can support your child’s needs. Your child’s
doctor will check on milestones during routine well-child’s visits (4,
May2021 https://www.webmd.com>parenting). Social and emotional
milestones are centered on children gaining a better understanding
of their own emotions and the emotions of others. These skills also
involve learning how to interact and play with other people and the
development of empathy (13, Jan 2021

4. You have learned that past events recalled as early as two are those had
personal significance. Does this apply even after age 2? What do you think? If
you think yes, what does this imply to teaching?

Most adult suffered from childhood amnesia. It simply means

that they can’t remember memory in the age of 2. But some of them
can still recall their past memory specifically the age of 2. Some
people can recall there memories even in a long time ago, they will
serve it as their examples in explaining and sharing their thoughts
about something specifically about the process of a child’s
development.

5. Give your stand on this idea: “The hand that rocks the cradle, rocks the
world.”

According to the dictionary, “the person who raises the child

determines the character of that child and so influences the type of
society that the next generation will create” is the meaning of “The
hand that rocks that cradle, rocks the world”. In my own
understanding that what the child’s see in her/his parents is what
he/she follows to do in the future. So, when we became a parent’s,
we should be careful in what we teach or do in front of our children
because there is a big possibility that they will do it to their children
in the future.
