• Uses:

• Structure:
– AFF: Will+ verb base form
– NEG: Won’t/ will not + verb base form
Be Going to
• Uses:
– Predictions based on evidences  It’s going to
rain
– Discuss plans  We are going to go to Rome next
Christmas
• Structure:
– AFF: Am/Is/are +going to+ verb base form
– NEG: Am not/ Isn’t/ Aren’t + going to+ verb base
form
Present Continuous
(Future Activites)
• Uses:
– Future plans already fixed 
• I am having a meeting with my boss next Tuesday.

– Arrangements 
• I am going to the dentist next Thursday at 14.30
• Structure:
– AFF: Am/Is/Are+ verb –ing
– NEG: Am not/ isn’t /aren’t + verb -ing
