PUGAD LAWIN

 Our side will stand to the placed Pugad Lawin, where the first cry of revolution
took place. The PugadLawin is located in barangay bahay-toro in the city of
Quezon.
Dr. Pio Valenzuela at mga estulyador which agrees with the place of the
Pugadlawin where the first cry of rebellion took place. This event is divided into
three.
The first battle was the suppression of the katipuneros against the Spanish. It is
true that the incident took place in Balintawak but what we are talking about is
where the first cry occurred where they tore up their sedulas.
So
that’s why Balintawak cannot be the place of the first cry of the revolution.
sa kanyang libro na pinangalanang the Revolt of the Masses na pumapatungkol

Allow me to add to the information previously stated by my group.
Bonifacio. He says that it happened in the Pugadlawin because it happened in
the house and yard of Juan Ramos who is the son of the mother of the Katipunan
which is Melchora Aquino or Tandang Sora.
They decided that it would be held on August 29 1896. Teodoro
Plata was one of those who agreed to this revolution.
Remedio, San Pedro. And here it is said that there are many witnesses that the
first cry took place in the hawk’s nest. After their discussion, they took their
sedula and tore it up and shouted long live the Philippines.

Isagani Medina. According to Isagani Medina, this is also said to be the day of
the meeting where the cedulas were torn. Symbol of the slavery of the Indio sa
mga kastila o Espanyol. According to his study of the testimony of Pio
Valenzuela, the vice president of the katipunan, the first cry of revolution
happened and the tearing of the cedula took place on August 23, 1896 and
August 26, 1896, the attack of the katipuneros on the Spaniards happened.
Publications by Medina and others in 1996
provided clearer information as to where the first cry of revolution actually
occurred.
Its members
have again reviewed the literature which contains information and human
statements that agree with it. In their study, the Historical National Institute
issued a statement that the first cry of revolution occurred in the Pugadlawin on
August 26, 1896. In 1963, president Macapagal ordered that the cry of
Balintawak shall be called cry of Pugad lawin. And it should be celebrated on
August 23 instead of August 26.
