“REFLECTION ON BCSI COLLEGE DAYS AND ACQUAINTANCE PARTY 2022”

Every year, I always look forward on most awaited events that will surely complete not just

only mine, but every college student’s life and one of those are the College Days and Acquaintance

Party. These events allow students to relax, enjoy everyone’s company, to meet new friends,

discover new personalities and also to build bond between students and school’s administration,

faculty and staffs.

Last year have been a roller coaster ride of experiences for each of us when the rise of

pandemic is still present and due to that, online classes are the best and only way to attain

education. We just met each other through video calls, and zoom. We even cannot see, touch, and

feel each other personally. But we are thankful and blessed that through God’s inevitable love and

mercy, we have overcome those challenges and chaos.

This year have been a wonderful start of new experiences and discoveries. I am grateful

that through the efforts and hardships of every student, we have made this year’s event memorable

for each of us. A lot has happened, and I could say that through this event I have discovered

something new about my talents and capabilities that I have never thought about.

I could say that I exerted a lot of effort and sacrifices during College Days, this is due to the

events that I have participated with, which are the Mass Dance and Quiz Bowl competition. I

actually didn’t have the courage to take part on those events, but due to the encouragement and

motivation of my friends, I have built my credence and conviction to accept and take the risk rather

than to regret the possibilities and opportunities to come.

 The events that happened on first day of College Days were the operating of booths on

different departments, and the pageant which s the highlight of that day. I actually enjoyed the

booth even if I didn’t get the chance to got tied up with the one that I go head over heels with. But I

am happy to get involved with the preparation of our department’s booth and that’s what I think is

the most important. Suddenly, it quite gets blue during the pageant due to the short time, we have

to consume it to practice on our upcoming mass dance competition and we don’t have the chance to

cheer for our department. But even so, our department won, and that was the best part of the day.

On the second day of the College days, everything went so well as we, our Quiz Bowl group

won. After all of the exhaustion and stress that we got from studying and researching all the

possible questions that might appear on the quiz, all of it were worth the effort and time as we got

to represent our department and celebrate it with flying colors. Afternoon have passed and it is

quite normal, not until I got teased up with the one that I admire which got the chance to take

picture together. That encounter didn’t last long but the memories will.

Moving on to the third and final day of the College Days. A lot of activities happened but

my focus is for Mass Dance competition. We have offered our blood, sweat and tears to achieve a

perfect outcome on our routine, and the time has finally come for us to showcase our hard work,

and with that, we aim for gold. Ever since I was young, my passion is really on performing up stage.

There will always be a different me when it comes on that aspect and I’m glad that my passion

didn’t fade away.

I gave all of my energy, exert all my power and didn’t care about how people see me. I just

perform. And that’s the best thing. Through all of that, I believe we deserved to be called

champions. I found happiness and contentment as I saw everyone smiling and cheering. No one can

really replace the happiness of achieving something that comes from hard work and determination.

And I have learned that through all of those experiences, it molds us be the person that we will be in

the future and we should treasure all of those.

 Moving on for the Acquaintance Party, a lot of struggles and chaos happened before the

event even started. The weather was not that good, but then I commend all of the facilitators of the

event for they are able to manage and facilitate every student’s concern and problems.

As the event moves to the first part, it gets really exciting for each of us are getting

acquainted to everyone, specially to someone we didn’t really get to know before. I love the

environment and vibe, everyone gets along and participated.

It gets more exciting as the live band finally got on stage to perform. The students are all in

to go along with the vibe. And the best part was that everyone can relate to the song that was played

which our generations enjoy most. Everyone got to party and go out of their usual self.

I have reflected that everyone needs this. We are not just a mere student to immerge

ourselves only on studies, we also got life to live, we are still young and we can’t bring back the time

where we can still enjoy, relax and feel the moment of our youth. I am glad that our institution got

us a enjoyable and memorable moments that we will surely remember to the rest of our lives. We

are definitely as one, in all ups and downs, chaos and celebrations. This leaves a mark on our

history that the future generations will attain at the end of the day. Let us all hope for a better

future not just for ourselves but to everyone that surrounds us. By doing so, we also must not forget

to live a life.
