MY IDOL
 My idol is Jerome Polin, the reason I really idolize one of them is because jerome polin
is a public figure that many people enjoy doing and Jerome Polin has a YouTube channel,
namely Nihingo Mantappu who talks about the atmosphere of life in Japan, math lessons,
even about his family life.

What makes me very interested in Jerome Polin is a YouTuber who presents quite
different content, including many YouTubers who present Korean-related content and others,
but Jerome Polin presents videos of the atmosphere of life in Japan and so various other
videos that smell positive and we can add to our knowledge, every video posted by Jerome
Polin always benefits both knowledge and entertainment.

So I am so motivated by Jerom Polin that I idolize it so I am always passionate about

learning, especially learning mathematics through my nihingo matappu channel and of course
I don't get bored watching Jerome Polin's videos in his YouTube channel because Jerome
Polin is a very creative person when he shares his knowledge.

Biography of my idol
Jerome Polin's Childhood and Family:

Jerome Polin was born in Jakarta on May 2, 1998. That means Jerome Polin's age or age
is currently 21 years old (2019). Jerome Polin's father's name is: Marojahan Sijabat, and
Jerome Polin's mother is: Chrissie Rahmeinsa. Jerome Polin has two brothers. Jerome Polin's
brother named: Jehian Sijabat, and Jerome Polin's brother named: Jessferel Sijabat.

Jerome Polin didn't really like math as a child. However, one time his thinking changed
when his mother said that mathematics was like a pirate game. When we can crack the code
then we can get treasure. From this, Jerome Polin's mind changed about mathematics which
made him finally like and cultivate mathematics.

Since childhood, Jerome Polin has dreamed of studying abroad. This is based on the
frequent elementary school days when he heard his friends talk about their holidays abroad.
He realizes that he was born from a simple family, so to realize his dream of traveling abroad
one way is to go to school there.
 Jerome Polin's Life Journey:

In order to realize his dream of studying abroad, Jerome Polin from the beginning of
entering high school has made plans to participate in the Olympics and excel, with that he
hopes that his opportunity to get a scholarship is wide open.

So it is not surprising that he can make a number of achievements. What is true opens up
a number of opportunities to take him to study abroad. One of the opportunities that came up
was: a scholarship to NTU Singapore. Actually, Jerome Polin's test results passed, but
unfortunately he only received a scholarship of only 50%, not full, so seeing the family's
economy he regularly withdrew.

Not long ago there was an offer for school scholarships in Japan that were fully funded.
But, of course getting a scholarship from Mitsui & Co Ltd (one of the largest trading
companies in Japan) is very difficult. Just imagine, of the tens of thousands of applicants who
were accepted only two people. At that time, there were around 16,000 applicants for this
scholarship and Jerome Polin was one of the two people selected to receive this scholarship.

Jerome Polin's Achievements:

He won 1st place in the 2016 ITS Industrial Engineering National Olympiad, 2nd Place
for Regional Pharmacy Olympiad 2015 UNAIR, 3rd place in the 2014 Mathematics
Olympiad, The 14th Winner of the Japanese Speech Contest, Suginami Association, 1st Place
in the 2015 Surabaya City Level Student Achievement Competition , And 1st Place in the
National Vector Mathematics Olympiad, State University of Malang 2015.

Career as Youtuber:

Initially Jerome Polin founded the Youtube channel Nihongo Mantappu with his friend
Kevin who is also an Indonesian student studying in Japan. However, in August 2018, Kevin
decided to resign. One reason is to focus on the world of college.

Although alone, Jerome Polin still runs his YouTube channel. He reviewed the
atmosphere of life in Japan, mathematics lessons, and even about his family life.
