In this lesson we will describe the nature and background of the sport and execute the
skills involved in the sport.

BADMINTON
1. Badminton is a racket sport that is played on a court divided by a net
five feet high.
2. The game is played with a shuttlecock (“bird”).
3. Can be played as singles or doubles.

1. SAFETY
1. Make sure to always have a firm grip on the racket.
2. Be careful not to hit your partner with the racket.

5. If your bird goes into another court, wait until their play stops.

efficiently.
• You win a rally when you hit the bird and it touches the floor of the opponent's side of
the court or when the opponent commits a fault.
