By creating a poem, we can use this literature to highlight the wrongdoings of the government and highlight the author's struggles. What if our National Heroes like Jose Rizal don’t contribute to our literature? Do you think we will be free from the Spaniards? I guess not, as we can see Filipinos wake up their burning heart because of the novels of Rizal. That’s why we have freedom now, Rizal sacrifices his life to free our country by contributing to our literature and it benefits us in the present. Their writing is ageless; it matures over time, but the message they convey never changes, and their contribution's core remains unchanged. We must be familiar with literature because it is a treasure that cannot be replaced and doesn’t loose its value. Historical occurrences must be continuously appreciated to be more than just history. We might as well be able to catch a peek at a potential future since, as many people have said, history repeats itself. We must read our literature to avoid making the same error twice, to advance in the present, and to improve in the future. It also gives awareness to the youth of what to resolve and how to resolve our local issues. It's an effective approach, as our nation's hero has proven given their works free us from the slavery of other countries. It’s funny how a written piece has the power to change our perspectives in life and make a change for the betterment of the country. Literature also helps us to explore our mischievous minds and explore great ideas and invent the future. It allows us to express our emotions and imagination, this helps address the problems that our world is facing now, such as increasing intolerance and stress in life.
