FINAL WORKING SCRIPT

INT. ROOM. DAY

Two people wake up in a room that they do not recognise. They look
around slowly and can hear beeping noises. They both look confused and
their eyes lock as they recognise each other.
VIOLET:
Hello?
(Beat)
*Panic* HELLO? Where am I?!

ZOE:
(Wakes up)
What’s going on? V-Violet?

VIOLET:
Zoe? What's happening?
Where are we?
How did we get here?!

ZOE:
*Angrily* I don’t know.

(Zoe scans around the room)

There are CCTV stills of Zoe and Violet on the wall.
ZOE:
 Shit.

INT. INSIDE HOUSE. MORNING

A shot of a normal street in the morning time as text appears on the
bottom of the screen reading '24 hours earlier'. We then go inside the
house to show ZOE asleep in bed when her alarm clock goes off at 8am.
She gets out of bed, gets dressed for work, makes coffee, and leaves
her house. leaves, and then gets into her car.
*Phone rings*
(ZOE gets two phones out of her pocket)
*Answers burner phone*
ZOE:
Hello. Yes, I'm heading into the office now I'll do it when I get
there. Okay, I'll call you back later.

ZOE drives off.

INT. OFFICE MORNING

ZOE arrives at work and see's one of her co-workers VIOLET quickly
shut her laptop screen. She walks on past without saying anything. She
gets into her office room and the phone rings, so she picks up.
ZOE:
Good morning, Kings Cross financial services how may I help you?
Oh... Janice. Yes... I am sorry I was late today. I-I know, it will
not happen again. I overslept; I have had trouble sleeping. Okay, I
will call my first client now. Bye Janice.
(ZOE puts the phone down and calls her first client)
ZOE:
Good morning, Kings Cross financial services. I am calling today to...
(Talking continues the audio starts to go all inaudible and fades out)
ZOE is in her office alone and is on the on the phone to a client.

ZOE:
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. We will arrange a meeting at some
point over the next few weeks to help you with your savings. Yes, we
have your information secured and protected do not worry Mrs Jackson.
Enjoy the rest of your day and I will get back to you shortly. B-Bye.
ZOE sips her coffee and starts typing on her computer. She then starts
going through paperwork as the scene fades to black

VIOLET’S phone beeps and a text message reads ‘Time for a coffee’

Violet plugs in memory stick, downloads data, takes the stick out and
drops it in her empty coffee cup and puts it in her bag.

EXT. TOWN. AFTERNOON

VIOLET walking down the street on her lunch break. In the corner of
the screen there is a person in black with their hood up with their
back to the camera watching her. VIOLET is unaware of this person, and
they follow her. The figure takes a picture of her.

EXT. TOWN. EVENING

ZOE walks out of the office building and starts walking down the
street as you see the same black figure watching her. She walks to her
house, and you can see the figure in every shot. The figure takes a
picture of her outside her house.

INT.ROOM DAY. TIME

 Both ZOE and VIOLET are staring at each other for a moment in this
dark, unfamiliar room.

VIOLET:
I knew this would happen. Why did I do it? I was so careful. How did
they find out!

ZOE:
What are you talking about?

VIOLET:
I don't want to say.

ZOE:
Why not? What have you got to lose?
We’re clearly here for a reason-

VIOLET:
I’ve been stealing money from the company.

ZOE:
Wha-

VIOLET:
And hacking the system to cover it up.
(Beat)
ZOE:
 You? Violet 'employee of the month’ is the other hacker messing with
the clients' finances?

VIOLET:
The other hacker?
*realises*

ZOE:
Yes, I've been doing the same for about ten years. Staying in a low-
level job and embezzling company funds.
(Beat)
VIOLET:
Shit.

ZOE:
How did they find out, I've been doing it for so long and I've never
been caught.

VIOLET:
Well maybe you're not as good as you think you are.

ZOE:
Well you’ve been caught as well.

VIOLET:
We don’t know that’s why we're here.

ZOE:
 Why else would we be here violet! Look at the pictures on the wall!

VIOLET:
If that’s why then why didn’t they just arrest us?!
(Looks around)
This is no police station.
Nobody ever suspected me, not even you and you were doing the same
thing. I know I'm good at what I do. I never left a trace.

ZOE:
Why else would they have those pictures. Somebody's been following us.

We see close ups the pictures on the wall, they turn in to videos and
we see what they’ve been doing.

VIOLET:
*Panics*
Oh god

ZOE:
*Shouting*
Help!
Is anyone there?!
 Help!

INT. MI5 OFFICE DAY TIME

A MI5 Agent sits next to another agent at a desk in front of a
computer screen that has live CCTV of ZOE and VIOLET in the room.

AGENT 1:
How are they doing? Are they awake?

AGENT 2:
They just woke up.
Look! They found the pictures. Let's see if they are smart enough to
figure it out.

AGENT 1:
They will.
(Beat)
I selected them myself.

AGENT 2:
They must be stupid thinking that anyone can hear them from in there.
(Camera zooms into screen)

INT. ROOM. DAY TIME

ZOE:
 *Panicking* This is not good. This is not good.
Shit. We need to untie ourselves.

VIOLET:
*Slides out of rope and breaks free*

ZOE:
How did you do that?

(Violet gets up and unties Zoe)

VIOLET:
Now let's get out of here.

(Zoe tries to open the door)

ZOE:
This door is confusing me. It’s not usually this difficult to pick the
lock. I think its solid metal.
VIOLET:
Whoever has us must be very smart. They have probably done this
before.

ZOE:
You look for something to pick the lock, I'll try to find another way out.
ZOE and VIOLET keep walking around the room and looking at everything.

INT. MI5 OFFICE DAY TIME

AGENT 1:
See, I told you they would be good.

AGENT 2:
I think that’s the fastest anyone’s untied themselves after waking up
from the chloroform. Recruit number 2 is good.

AGENT 1:
I thought you said they were just hackers.

AGENT 2:
They are.
Beat
AGENT 1:
Let's see how they deal with this.

(Types on keyboard and presses button)

INT. OLD-FASHIONED ROOM AFTERNOON

Over speaker: Sequence 108 initiated, self-destructing in one minute.
VIOLET:
 Oh my god, oh my god!

ZOE:
what are we going to do!

VIOLET:
Why are they doing this to us!

ZOE:
Keep searching for a way out!

ZOE finds a note in a drawer.

The note reads ‘If you want to live Quebec...Delta...Hotel...Uniform’
VIOLET:
What’s that supposed to mean?!

ZOE:
It’s the radio alphabet.

VIOLET:
Try taking the first letter from each word.

ZOE:
‘QDHU?’ That doesn’t make any sense?

VIOLET:
Try the last letters.
 ZOE:
‘Calm?’

VIOLET:
We must stay calm? When we’ve just been told we’re about to blow up?!

ZOE:
Fine.
(Zoe sits down calmly)

VIOLET:
How can you stay calm?!

ZOE:
If you want to live sit down and calm down.

(Violet sits down)

VIOlET:
So we’re just going to sit here?

Over a speaker: ‘Self destructing in 10…9…8’

Zoe and Violet lock eyes and try to stay calm but you can tell that
they’re scared.

ZOE:
 *Whispers*
Just stay calm.

Over speaker: ‘3...2...1’

Zoe and Violet close their eyes waiting for something to happen’
MI5 agent pops up on tv

AGENT:
If you’re watching this video you have been carefully selected to go
through the recruitment process to be an MI5 special agent. This was a
test to see how you react in this situation. You have both passed and
will go through to level 2. However only one of you will be recruited,
the other one will be eliminated. Good luck .

*door opens*

Zoe and Violet look at each other in disbelief.
