 Globalization affects economic, political processes at the global

level, but regionalization involves, first consideration of various
events and the needs of specific areas of the country.
Regionalism has responded to cultural globalization through an
increase in cultural identity and the rise of regionalist parties.
Although it could be argued that regionalism is simply placing
the international system on a larger scale, the amount of
stability and regulation that comes with regionalism is
incomparable.

2. What is the difference between state-to-state regionalism and non-

estate regionalism?

 Regionalism the Nation-State is the preeminent actor, while new

regionalism proponents hold that non-state actors like
multinational corporations, non-governmental organizations,
and other interested social groups, must be considered when
analyzing how and why regions choose to integrate. What
triggers various regionalist projects?

3. What triggers various regionalist projects?

 Advances of globalization, existing economic interdependence

levels and globalization of structures of international economy
led states to engage in projects which try to deal with the forces
of the global market. The traditional explanation of resurgence
regionalism nations rests on two pillars. Regionalism is: (i) due
to frustration with the WTO process (thought to be too
cumbersome for today's trade issues); and (ii) due to the United
States' conversion from devoted multilateralist to ardent
regionalist.

4. Do globalization and regionalization converge or diverge? How and

when?

 Both sound like opposites. Regionalization is a form of national

sovereignty which is a preservation of a unique culture in a
specified area. Globalization is a world dissolving of national
and ethnic and cultural identity which brings on a conflict with
multiculturalism when its forcing its way to make people be
what they are not meant to be.
