LIST OF TO-BE-DONE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
● Drawing Plans
Prior to beginning real construction, residential/commercial building construction
needed filing of paperwork. The paperwork includes drawing creation, material,
labor, and contingency cost estimation, as well as City/Municipality Development
Authority approval of the plans.
● Excavation Works
Typically, excavation is done to prepare the ground for building wall foundations.
Excavation should be done in accordance with the widths and lengths specified
in the designs. For the purpose of preparing the earth for the foundation, the
appropriate machinery is used.
● Foundation Works
Foundation work consists of many sub works which are as follows,
● Compacting the ground
● Footing Reinforcement
● Footing Concrete
This also includes column and footing casting.
● Roofing
Following the completion of the masonry work, the building's roof slab is poured.
● Plastering Works
Form work is removed after 14 days of slab pouring. Now plaster work begins.
Buildings often have a plastered layer covering their internal walls and pointing
on their exterior walls.
● Fixing Doors and Windows
Panels are fixed with hinges after plaster work.
● Electrical, Plumbing and other Construction Installation Activities
This group includes installation activities that support the functioning of a building
as such, including installation of electrical systems, plumbing (water, gas and
sewage systems), heat and air-conditioning systems, elevators(if any) etc.
