1. Among the artists listed in the table, Juan Luna would be my best choice. I have seen Juan Luna’s
artworks in the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila when I was a Grade 6 student, one of his
famous “Spoliarium”, was displayed in the main gallery of the museum. The artwork shows
drama, and it depicts dying gladiators. This painting is meaningful because it’s projected as a
nationalistic symbolism that helped Filipinos rise and fight against the Spanish colonizers.
2. If I would be an artist, the theme of my artworks will be romanticism style. Romantic art is
focused on emotions, feelings, and drama. If I am an artist, I want my paintings to contain deep
meaning, convey a short message to people, and influence other people to love arts.
