A. PAINTING
JACQUES-LOUIS DAVID (1784-1825)
- Is an influential French painter and considered
the pre-eminent painter of the era.
- His subjects were more on history.

JEAN-AUGUSTE-DOMINIQUE INGRES (1780-1867)


- He was a pupil of Jacques Louis David
- His paintings were usually nudes, portraits and mythological
themes.
- Regarded as one of the exemplars of academic art and one of the
finest old masters of his era.

ANTONIO CANOVA (1757-1822)
- Was a prolific Italian artist and sculptor for marble
sculptures.
- Portrayed discrete sexual pleasures by using pure contours
with his mythological compositions.

BERTEL THORVALDSEN (1789-1838)


- Was the first internationally acclaimed Danish artists.
- He executed of mythological and religious themes characters.
