Measuring The Distance

From Classroom To Canteen

ST. MATTHEW COLLEGE

BALORAN - MERCADO - VALDULLA - VALERA

A. OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of this study is to determine the distance between
the front door to the canteen and the rear door to the canteen. The
researchers will be using a meter to calculate the distance and to find
which path has the shortest route.

PHYSICS 12
B. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Total distance traveled by the object. This is dependent on the entire
route taken, not just the beginning and ending locations. Travel
distance is usually a positive quantity. a scalar quantity that has
distance units. (Khan Academy, 2022)

The precision of the approximations for these average distances is

discovered by looking at a few simple situations. For example, the
average distance from a fixed position to a point located randomly
inside the same zone is looked at as well as the distance from that
point to another point in the same area. (Vaughan, 1984)

A paper explains a simple computation method for determining the

shortest path. The routes that have traveled the least distance at the
time are extended one at a time to dynamically assess the routes. Once
a thorough path has been discovered, it must be confirmed that it is
the bare minimum.(Nicholson, 1966)

PHYSICS 12
C. PROCEDURE
The researchers measuring instrument in their experiment is a meter.
The meter was used to measure the length of a specific pathway's
assigned points. The researchers used two members to measure the
distance from the front door to the canteen. After calculating the
front door, the researchers next measured from the rear door to
canteen.

D. PRESENTATION OF DATA
The researchers determined the distance between the front door to the
canteen and the rear door. The researchers found out which door has the
shortest route, with a distance of 11,240 compared to 13,287 for the
other door. All members of the researchers participated in the study.

E. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

According to this study, the rear door has the shortest distance to the
canteen. The front door is 13, 287 cm long, and the back door is 11,
240 cm long. The researchers conclude that the rear door of room 201 in
St. Matthew College's Elisea Bldg. has the shortest path distance when
compared to the front door to the canteen.
