I prefer listening and singing to Joey Ayala`s sweet version of Lupang Hinirang indeed it sounds really
soothing and soul touching. The final line which says, “Ang mamatay ng dahil sayo” or to die for you.
For me as my observation the literal meaning of lupang hinirang has a hiden message need to
understand that we need to do is love and protect our country in many ways like doing humanity act
and serve others that need our help. It is a very pro-active way of Nationalism fort song writers to come
up with these ideas. As simple gesture, that love of country is not confined in doing charity and public
service. A song of influence can unite a country, and on the other hand may leave a message that will
affect our Nationalism as a whole.
