DHS Script for DRILLS

LOCKDOWN DRILL:
We are conducting a lockdown drill at this time. Please exercise the lockdown procedure. Again, this is a lockdown
DRILL.

After drill is complete:

This concludes the lockdown DRILL. Please resume classro0m activity.

SECURE MODE DRILL:

May I please have your attention. The building is now in SECURE MODE. THIS IS A DRILL. Due to a concern outside
the building, we are taking extra security precautions. There is no immediate threat. Everyone stays in the building or
returns to the inside of the building. All students are directed to return to their classrooms and remain there until
dismissal to the next period. Classroom instruction will continue as normal and will transition per the bell schedule. We
ask that all other hall traffic be for essential purposes only. Again, the building is now in SECURE MODE. Any staff
member who is not currently assigned to students is required to report to the main office. THIS IS A DRILL.

After drill is complete: This concludes the Secure Mode DRILL.

FIRE/OTHER EVACUATION DRILL: Fire Alarms will be activated

After drill is complete: This concludes the Fire Drill.

SEEK SHELTER DRILL:

We are conducting a SEEK SHELTER Drill at this time. Please seek shelter at your assigned shelter spot (tornado)

After drill is complete: This concludes the Seek Shelter (Tornado) Drill.

DHS SCRIPT for CRISIS EVENTS

LOCKDOWN:
The building is in LOCKDOWN. This is not a drill. Please follow the lockdown procedure immediately. Secure your
students and classrooms. The building is now in LOCKDOWN.
