TRAVEL ITINERARY

Information Aguazul - Casanare

Introduction of Aguazul is located at the piedmont of the Andes Ridge, this is an

the place: excellent place to visit because of its climate, that is always warm and
pleasant for visitors, and also its beautiful rivers and streams which
people can enjoy all year around.

Duration of the The trip is about 3 days and 2 nights.

On the first day people should visit “Laguna del Tinije” a big pond
where people can enjoy the sunsets and also with a guided tour they
can see alligators and anacondas and some local animals like
capibaras and anteaters.
On the second day people shouldn’t miss the “La Virgen” lookout
where you can enjoy the view of the city and take some cold drinks
while enjoying the view and the “Llano” sunsets
The last day visitors should go to “San Miguel de Farallones” a
geological failure that make mountains look like small peaks
surrounded by native flora.
During the night people can enjoy the nightlife and some local places
and try the local food.

Means of There are many ways to get to these places.

Some local transportation is available like taxis and local buses, but
also if you are interested in something more autochthonous you can try
horse-back riding.

Activities to do Tourist should try the local food, for example:”mamona” which is grilled
meat cooked on iron rods, they also should try “guarapo” a fermented
drink made out of corn and “panela”
 They also should go swimming to the Unete river in the local natural
pools that locals offered to the public.

Places to stay: There are so many hotels and local hostels where people can stay and
they are very close from the bus station and the downtown area.

Typical Foods: As mentioned above, mamona and guarapo are very typical but some
restaurants offer a variety of products that area made out of native
plants and animals.

Cost: Prices vary according to the season, but our plan is one of the
cheapest in the region, it´s only $800.000 COP, it means $200 US.
