REFLECTIONS

There are a lot of lesson and learning that we can get from the anime Naruto,
particularly from the life of Uchiha Itachi as the main subject of this analysis. Some of
those is what we practices as an individual and some are what we should practice
when we become professionals.

PERSONAL LIFE
One of the lesson we can get from the life of Uchiha Itachi is How one person’s
actions can affect so many others. Think about it. Itachi became a victim of the
Uchiha clan’s decisions and plans to overthrow Konoha and take control. The Uchiha
clan planned to overthrow Konoha. Their motive was obviously power and
control. That selfish move lead Itachi to tell Konoha about it. Which then put Itachi in
an impossible situation. And that lead him down the path of darkness. And that lead to
Sasuke’s trauma. Their selfish plans put their whole clan in jeopardy. Even if that
jeopardy came about because of Itachi’s loyalty. Itachi’s actions then created a ripple
in Sasuke’s life, and even Naruto‘s. It shows you how one small action can create a
ripple of good or bad, depending on what that action is.

This apply to life as well. You might not realize but our every actions affects one
person or another. For instance, you choose not to study. This decision will not only
affect your life. It might affect your family who supports you on your studies.
Moreover, it will also affect your family that you’ll soon to create in the future. You
might not think it about it, but the more dramatic your decision is the more it can
change the lives of others around you. Family, friends, even strangers. For better or
for worse depending on what it is you choose to do.

Count on your friends or your family. Don’t walk alone. Don’t ever be afraid to
open up to the ones you love and care for. Letting people in is a way of admitting
your vulnerabilities, weaknesses and insecurities and growing stronger because of it.
Itachi died believing that he had to shoulder everything alone. He was reborn and
learned that had he opened up to at least one person things might have turned out
better. As a person, some of us is like Uchiha Itachi who carries all the burden. We
think that it is a weakness to get help from other people. We let our pride take over
resulting from being alone and unhappy. Itachi Uchiha is a great example that we
must not live like that. We must acknowledge that as a person we have our fair share
of weakness and we are not perfect. We cannot do everything alone. In addition,
according to Itachi to really know oneself is not to become perfect instead it is to
become aware of what one is and isn’t capable of. It is simply to forgive oneself for
the things one cannot do alone. It is because you cannot do everything yourself that
you have comrades to help you. And also you should never ignore things one still
could accomplish. If you want to know who and what you are, you must reexamine
and re-acknowledge your true self. Itachi Uchiha realized that he failed on that part
because he lie to everyone around him. He also lie to himself, he was deluded.
According to him, those who is not or who cannot acknowledge themselves are sure
to fail just like him.

"If you want to know who you are, you have to look at your real self
and acknowledge what you are."

Many of us look at ourselves in the mirror and wish we looked like someone else.
There are times that we do something or act a certain way and wish we could be
different. There are times that we wish we could like be someone who’s loud, brave,
creative and pretty. When Itachi said “true self” it is something we stripped of all
outside opinions and see ourselves not in relation to anyone or anything. Knowing
who we really are is understanding our character traits, personalities, and physical
features, and accepting them as they are because that’s who God made us to be…
not because we changed ourselves to fit in someway, somehow. It doesn’t mean we
can’t mature or change, but here in this moment, we have to acknowledge ourselves,
and be more than okay with the way we are. And most importantly, we have to know
that God acknowledges us as we are. He loves us so much, that He longs for us to
come as we are to Him. We don’t have to be all “cleaned up,” we don’t have to have
a perfect performance history, we don’t have to have perfect church attendance, He’s
just asking us to be vulnerable with Him, and to surrender our identity to Him,
because He sees us as we are, and He desires for us to see ourselves the way He
sees us – fearfully and wonderfully made.

Itachi also teaches us integrity, that we should do what's right, even when no one is
watching us or expecting us to do the right thing. Always look at the bigger picture.
Live in small moments but keep in mind what these moments are gonna result
in.Always look on the bright side.If you love something protect it at all cost.
Don't let it go.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE

When Uchiha Itachi said, “Uchiha is just a name, it just refers to our roots and clan. It

doesn't mean anything by itself”. We can reflect that in corporate world where we are

going to work in the future as professionals we are all equal. At some point there are

times that your last name has a bearing or it has connection. But in real life if you

start working in other country or in some company, it does not matter where you

come from. It does not matter what is your family name. What’s more important is

your performance and the way you treat your co-workers.

"However strong you become, never seek to bear everything alone. If you do, failure

is certain." In work, teamwork is a key for success. In work as a marketing

professional you cannot make the project a success just by yourself. You need

someone or you need a team in order to finished a project. However strong you are
you cannot do projects alone. You need to share your thoughts and problems to your

team. In that way you can able to create ideas and solutions.

How a person is on the outside is just a reflection. Itachi Uchiha seems cold

hearted, evil, emotionless, wicked, uncaring, uninterested, and empty. To the

average person Itachi is “just” a cold-hearted lunatic with no heart or soul. In reality

though these traits and characteristics reflect his experiences, feelings and personal

struggles. He’s cold because his life’s been destroyed. He’s empty because of the

heavy price he was forced to pay. He’s evil because of the drastic actions he took.

He’s emotionless because after what he was forced to do, he lost everything. And

had to throw away his morals in the process. What you see on the outside is just a

reflection.

This apply also at work. You cannot easily judge a co-workers based on his physical

appearance or what they are trying to show you. Because every person has their

own burden and stories behind them. You cannot just judge your boss just because

he/she is always not in the mood or irritated. Always remember to be understanding

and empathetic towards other people because we don’t know what they are going

through.

"You don't become the Hokage to be acknowledged by everyone. The one who is

acknowledged by everyone becomes the Hokage." Another line by Uchiha Itachi that

is very meaningful. In work, title is very important. If you got promoted in a higher

position you will have subordinates or there are employees who are inferior than you.

It is a good thing to be honest. But it becomes a bad thing if you got promoted or

become superior just because you have someone who will back you up. You gain the

title from doing anything even if there are people who you step on the process. Yes,

you become superior and people at work will come at your mercy but in reality they
don’t see you as above them because on how you treat them. They don’t respect

you.

It is far more great even without a title other employees respect and follow you

because you treat them better. It is far more worth it that other employee is following

and respecting you at work even if you don’t have a superior title. They recognize

and acknowledges you as someone they respect the most. Treating your co-workers

good is more than a title.

Don't be predictable. Always hold a card up your sleeves. So that no one

judges you.

For most of the series he was portrayed as a negative character who killed his whole
clan. He sacrificed everything for peace in the village. Once you know his true story
you will understand the true meaning of sacrifice. He taught us that sometimes we
have to make sacrifices for the greater good.

Itachi Uchiha said:

Itachi Uchiha said:

Kabuto, you're not Orochimaru. It's fine to imitate someone that you
respect, but do not act like you are him.
