DIVISION 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

TEMPORARY FACILITIES
Temporary facilities to be erected and maintained at the job site.

DIVISION 2 SITE WORK

EXCAVATION
STRUCTURAL EXCAVATION. To indicate bearing values. Exterior of excavations shall be determined
by the Civil Works Engineer. No footing shall rest on fill.

BACK FILLING
 FILLING AND BACKFILLING. As directed by the Engineer, Test for compaction shall be approved by
the Engineer.
 GRADING. To lines, grades and elevations as shown or indicated by the Engineer.
 BACKFILL. Backfill shall not be placed to cover foundations structures until they have been inspected.

SOIL TREATMENT
 MANUFACTURER. Aldrex Emulsive Concentrate by Shell or its approved equivalent.
 MIXTURE. For subsequent dilution with water.
 AREA OF APPLICATION.
a) All slab- on- grade construction.
b) Foundation walls
c) Crawl spaces-inside foundation walls, both sides of interior partition, walls around
plumbing, rodding and utility conduits.

DIVISION 3 CONCRETE

DIVISION 4 MASONRY

REINFORCED MASONRY UNIT


 MATERIAL
a) Concrete Hollow Blocks (CHB)
b) 6” and 4” for interior partitions, minimum 350 psi.
c) Cement Portland cement, ASTM C-150-68 Type I
d) Sand shall be river sand, well screened, clean, hand sharp, silicious, free from loam, silt of
their impurities.

ROUGH CARPENTRY
 MATERIAL (PLYWOOD)
a) Grade AB for interior application where both sides shall be view wide requiring no
appearance surface, opposite side solid and smooth. For cabinet door and shelves.
b) Grade BD for interior use where one smooth side is required for backing and ceiling.

FINISH HARDWARE
 The following hardware are application for doors with light to standard weight door with height of 1.80 to
2.10 meters.
a) Butt hinges
 3 ½” x 3 ½” x 0.130” full mortise standard weight ball bearing hinges with brass
base metal in stainless steel finish, For PVC doors.

DIVISION 9 FINISHES

PLASTERING
 CEMENT PLASTER.
a) BASE COAT PROPORTION, Mix scratch coat in the proportion of one part by volume
of cement to not less than 20 ½ nor more than by 4 parts by volume of damp loose sand.
Mix brown coat in the proportion of one part by volume of cement to not less than 3 nor
more than parts by volume of damp loose sand.
b) FINISH COAT PROPORTION, Mix finish coat in proportion of one part by volume of
cement to not less than 2 ½ not more than three parts by volume of damp loose sand.

second floor, as manufactured by Lepanto tiles or its approved equivalent.
b) WALL TILES, Refer to Architectural drawing and details vitrified unglazed ceramic tiles
colored for ground floor and second floor toilets, as manufactured by lepanto tiles or
approved equivalent.
c) COLORS, Shall be selected by the Owner from the manufacturer’s standard color range.
d) GROUT AND TILE ADHESIVE, Shall be ABC or its approved equivalent.

PAINTING
 MATERIALS. Well coat, Boysen, or other brands as approved by the Owner.
 FILM THICKNESS. As recommended by paint manufacturer for type of paint and finish specified.

1. Technical Specifications:
1.1. Services:
A. Secondary service voltage to the building shall be 230 volts, single-phase, 2 wire, and 60 hertz
B. Telephone service entrance to the building shall be by Telephone Company

1.2. Wiring Methods


A. Main service entrance shall be RSC.
B. Secondary distribution system shall be exposed as possible or as indicated in the plans.
C. All others shall be done in the following manner or as indicated in the plan.
1. EMT - Feeder raceway exposed layout

1.3. Branch Circuits


The Plans indicated the general methods of installation of all circuit wirings and the outlets, which are
to be supplied from this circuit. Branch circuit raceways shall be run from outlets to panel boards as
direct as the building conditions will allow, no wire of different circuit shall be inserted in one
conduit.

1.4. Panel Boards


Main circuit breakers shall be fabricated from 1.90mm thick galvanized iron sheet with epoxy primer
and baked enamel paint finish. Doors shall be hinged with Allen Screw lock from top to bottom.

1.5. Outlet, Switch and Splice Boxes


Power lighting and auxiliary outlet boxes shall be fabricated from 1.50mm thick standard pressed
galvanized steel or cast iron metal boxes and conduits and must be coated with primer before
installation.
