In this activity, my students are going to use SimpleShow to create a video showing

their knowledge of the story “Little Red Riding Hood”.

 Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What
will the students and the teacher be doing? (This includes
what they are doing with the technology). Many people tend
to find this part easier if they number the action in order and
think of this from the view of a substitute teacher. This lesson
was left on the desk, can you follow it and teach the class
today? Add numbers as you need to describe your
class/activity for the day.

This activity will show me as the teacher that they
understood the story that they listened to, their
interpretation of it.
1. The student will listen to the story “Little Red
Riding Hood”
2. Me as the teacher, as I am reading the story,
will have the students reflect to me what is
happening in the story.
3. At the end, we will get onto our laptops and
pull up the software, “SimpleShow”
4. After pulling it up, I will show the students an
example of what I need from them to do.
(showing them my video)
5. I will explain that they need to create a video
showing the events of Red Riding Hood with a
complete sentence on each ‘slide’. (checking
for grammar).
6. I would go around as they are finishing up the
assignment and grade their video right then
and there so there is no combustion on
submission.
7. After they complete the assignment, give
them the opportunity to either share it with
the class on the board or not
