WORK
I am civil engineer and I am project manager in oil and gas field.
I work in consultant engineers company. Our main office is located in
Tehran but we have also local offices in western and southern provinces.
When I was finishing my bachelor degree, I passed three months
internship in well-known consultant engineers that have become my first
working place. I’m inclined to say I shined in my internship period.
As you may know, Iran is oil & gas rich country, so many contractors,
consulting companies and suppliers are working in this field. And because
of higher salary level in oil & gas field in comparison with other industries,
yes I think it is popular.
Yes I do. I enjoy problem solving, challenging and passing difficulties and
pushing work further to gain progress day by day. Of course, it also has
negative points like financial balance with governmental companies and
Tax clearing.
Yes. I have studied a little about how to deal with non-conformities, how
to motivate my teammates, and why understanding my colleagues and
their point of view is necessary to keep team together and consistent. The
secret of efficient and effective work is to getting on well with all team
members and colleagues.
Oh, my first day was like a nightmare. Everything went well until lunch.
When I was trying to squeeze the lemon on the food, and suddenly it
jumped and landed in boss’s plate.
It is a memory that I remember my first day.
I am in charge of achieving progress in accordance with scheduled plan of
project. It includes allocating resources, coordination between suppliers,
vendors, contractors and finally quality assurance and financial
supervision.
I have been thinking to change my job many times till now, after 15 years
it is hard to change and it will be harder day by day. But if I could, I would
rather buy a ranch or farm and cultivate edible plants and vegetables.
I plan to continue with my job in future but I have comprehensive
program to improve my knowledge and to learn more about my career
and state of the art as much as possible.

STUDY
I did in fact. I studied civil engineering and I am graduated in geotechnical
earthquake engineering in master degree.
I had finished my bachelor degree in Tabriz university and then I studied
master in IIEES. ()
I love construction and creation. I have wondered how raw and formless
materials shape a project/building since I was a child. That is the reason
why I choose civil engineering. Because of its creativity.
Actually it was, but not anymore. Engineering field in general and
civil/mechanical engineering specifically had been very popular during
rebuilding period after Iran-Iraq war. But now a days, more than three
decades after war, medical fields are more popular.
Yes I do. I enjoy challenges of construction or even design projects.
Solving problems day by day and gaining progress gradually make me
satisfied.
Yes. I have studied a little about how to deal with non-conformities, how

One thing from that day has stock to my mind, is when I saw one of my
high school classmates in juniors and we were very happy that see each
other after few years and found out that we are classmates again.
There are different fields in civil engineering such as structures,
transportation, environmental and geotechnical engineering and water
resources. Because of my working field, I almost deal with all of these
aspects.
I don’t think so. I enjoy my career and I like to improve it.
I would like to explore new working fields or maybe working in foreign
countries in this subject and I hope to get a job with different scope of
work from what I have experienced till now.

HOME TOWN
I was born in Isfahan. The 3rd biggest city in Iran and it is located almost at
the centre of the country.
Yes I like Isfahan very much. It is a beautiful town with a river inside
named Zayandeh Rood with many monuments, historical bridges and
royal gardens and castells.
No. unfortunately I haven’t visited Isfahan during past ten years, but I’m
thinking about and I will go to Isfahan as soon as possible.
My hometown is a big city with more than 5 million populations. It is both
traditional and modern; it was starting to develop many years ago but has
kept traditions and local culture.
I think Sarouyeh castle is oldest place in Isfahan that is located in the
ancient neighborhood at centre of Isfahan. It belongs to Sasani kingdom
era which is related to 6th century B.C.
Another name of Isfahan is ‘city of cyan domes’. I think historical mosques
in Isfahan, and all Safavi’s era castells and palaces are more attractive for
foreigners. But the most “must be seen” place is old bazar
I think there are 3 pivotal changes that could be considered for
improvement of the city:
The first one is increasing green area, the second one is to develop public
transportation and the third is to improve digital infrastructure of public
services.
As I mentioned I haven’t seen Isfahan since 10 years ago but change is
tangible during past years specially in urban development, transportation
and rehabilitation of old parts of the city.
It has been improved during past years but it is not enough. Subway is
relatively new and hasn’t spread enough through the city; also (BRT)
system buses are partly aged and should be renovated.
Yes it is. I had lived in Isfahan for 16 years before I moved to Tehran.
Isfahan has a great culture, art and sport are inseparable parts of people’s
life and there are many high standarded schools and institutions.

My home is in west of Tehran near Tirajeh shopping mall in a dead end
alley beside Ashrafi highway.
I live in a small flat at third floor in an apartment with total 30 units.
I live with my mom. She is old and diabetic and I am the littlest sibling. So
traditionally I am in charge.
Actually, there are not many, just two bedrooms, living room, kitchen,
bath and WC.
Living room of course, where all my favorite stuffs like my piano, my
comfortable sofa and music player are located.
Most of walls are decorated with bright gray paint and paintings. My
room’s walls are decorated with patterned wall papers. I like little frames
and drawings. So you can’t find many paintings on my room’s walls.
If I had enough money, i would like to change window frames. All
windows have single layer glass and are not isolated enough against
sound and heat. Especially cause my bedroom is overlooking a crowded
street and vehicle noises is hearable all night long.
I will change my home in coming years. The age of building is increasing
and installations are going aged. In near future heavy cost will be paid for
maintenance.
Well known shopping mall Tirajeh is near my home, also a sport complex
with outdoor and indoor pool and few tennis courts is close. And a park is
next door.
It is calm usually but weekends because of adjacent shopping mall that is
crowded in holidays. It is also green, many old trees are around many
birds, cats are living in my neighborhood and most of all it is clean.
Neighbors are careful about keeping neighborhood clean.
Urbanization development has changed people life style. Accordingly
living form and place has changed too, considering sky rocketing of field
price and maintenance cost of houses, most of people have been
changing their living place from houses to flats.

Art
I think I am. I remember when I was a child, sometimes I wrote short
stories and most of times I was admired by audiences. Also I was good on
music; I have been playing guitar and piano for many years. So I am good
at writing and playing music but definitely not at painting.
Yes. One of the most interesting classes in elementary school was art.
Syllabus of Art class was basic concepts of art, training of painting and
calligraphy. But because of religious limitations, music was eliminated at
all.
I love all kinds of art, I enjoy watching performing arts, I love theatre and
music, and generally better to say I like any kind of art that I understand.
Many traditional arts exist in my country. Music is the most popular art in
Iran. Theatre and fine arts are more popular in elite community. And
cinema as an artistic industry is common in big cities.
One of my friends is an art gallery owner. Her area of expertise is modern
paintings specially abstract and expressionism. The atmosphere in an art
gallery is silent and artistic, pieces of art are hung on wall or located on
plinth and usually few expert are around to explain for costumers and
visitors.
I am inclined to believe that familiarity with art can benefit anybody in
every age even children. Maybe some arts are not appropriate for
children but seeing, understanding and cognition of art may help to build
and evolution of artistic taste of them.

Childhood
Yes and no. We were living in a big house with two yards, every day I was
playing with my brothers and neighbors children, I was free and I had
many pets. I always remember those years very happy in the home. But I
remember air raids and missile collides too. When I was a child my
country was engaged in a long severe war with Iraq.
Actually my cat. I can remember its shinny yellow colour. Her name was
“Hanna” means Amber and maybe she was the best friend of mine when I
was 4,5 years old.
Yes a lot. I had bunch of friends consist of our neighbors, my father’s
colleague’s children and my classmates.
I enjoyed planting. I planted almost everything in backyard. And I loved to
spend much time watching insects or maybe sometimes to chase them.
Each one has its cons and pros. Big cities are more developed and
educational and entertainment facilities are more available. But at the
other hand air pollution and heavy traffic might be probable.
Growing up children in less developed countryside might be more healthy
and safe but will cause deprivation of some facilities.
