ASSIGNMENT:
Select an advertisment that catches your attention. Evaluate the advertisment,
following the guide questions.

"Breeze Philippines video: The Good Experiment"

SOURCE:
1. Who created the message? Is the source reliable? Was it by a news
organization, a public citizen, an advertising team of a reputable company, or
an advertiser?
- The children at school who are currently being fetched by their moms. It was
from a commercial or an advertising team of a reputable company, Breeze,
which is very much reliable source. Based on the video title, it is an experiment
on how the parents will react about their children going home untidy.

MESSAGE:
2. What does the message say (subject, main point, support)?
- The commercial wanted to tell that don't conclude that fast on what you just
saw, you need to know what's beyond it, you need to know the other side. It
also appears the love of a mother towards their children, even though we
commit mistake, yes they'll be disappointed but in the end they'll forgive us on
what we did.
3. Is the information fair and logical?
- For me, yes. Since it appeals and achieve emotional feelings grabbing the
audience sympathy. It was all based on what you watched and imagery.
4. What points of view are shared in the message? Which ones are left out?
- Both the point of view of the parents and the students or children. Of course
the first impression of the parents are different from what was the real reason
of the children. The parents were shocked on how untidy they are. Turns out
they're helping an old man to arrange and set aside the pots that fall from
wheelbarrow.
5. What images or sounds catch your attention?
- The reply on how the children helped the old man. That made the change
from all the perspective of all the audience even the parents.

MEDIUM:
6. What type of text is used to deliver the message?
- According to the purpose, they used narrative text as they convey the
message of the commercial with the use of stories. They're telling a story on
how did the students or children got their stains. They used advertising texts in
accordance of the area of interest through digital use on their physical support.
Since it is an advertisement, using theadvertising text is the most effective type
for it to be convey succesfully. As well as the use of digital texts which can
spread throughout the target area in it's fastest way.
7. What are the advantages and limitations of the format of the advertisment?
- I think the advantages will come from how it was kind a not scripted based on
the parents reaction in the commercial and as well as the simple yet
convincing message they want to show. I guess the limitation will be on how it
is only be available in a video format, and since TV commercials only require a
short clips, it wont be able to spread to some audience.

AUDIENCE:
8. Who is the target audience of the message?
- The parents of course, though it also serves as an inspiration to the other
students and children. They can others without hesitation even it results on
staining their clothes.
9. How might other people interpret the message of the advertisement?
- Some might just focus on the "stain" of the clothes have because of the
advertiser. But I guess some might also have my point about the parents' love,
the children as a good example and inspiration, and also about don't conclude
that fast based only on what you saw.

CONTEXT:
10. What is the purpose of the message?
- Revolving about the behind story of one person, I think the commercial wants
to inform the audience the real story behind, withe the use of good will of the
children, persuading them to buy the product. I guess that is how they want
their commercial to be, having those purposes for the audience. It does not just
played for entertainment but rather with information and persuasion
11. Who controls the transmission of this message?
- I think the students/children. They're the main characters wanted to convey a
lot of messages behind their untidiness and stains on their clothes. They were
like the message itself.
