B. How would you like to make it rain? You’ll need a sealable plastic bag, soil, grass, a
spoon, water, a straw, and tape. First, put a few spoonful of soil in the bottom of the bag.
Add a handful of grass. Pour a spoonful of water over the grass. Next, place a straw at one
end of the bag. Close the bag around the straw. Puff up the bag by blowing in the straw.
Then have someone pull out the straw while you seal the bag. Finally, tape the bag to a
sunny window. After a while, you may see drops of water forming inside. When the drops
get big enough they will roll down the sides. You’ve made rain in a bag!

River

River is a good source of water. People are dependent on water for drinking, for
washing clothes, and bathing. Aside from that, river is also a home of some aquatic animals
like shrimps, fishes, clams, crabs, and snails. Most people living near the riverbanks rely their
food in it.

But there is a danger for the river. There are people who throw wastes in it. Others use
chemical substances that poison water creatures. For this reason, the water becomes polluted
making water animals death and soon become extinct.

Corona Virus

Coronavirus is virus which belong to Coronaviridoe. Based on the assessment made


by the WHO, coronavirus is characterized as a pandemic. The word “pandemic” is a disease
occuring over a wide geographic area affecting the population. Coronavirus or COVID-19
infects people of all ages. But, older people and those with underlying medical conditions are
at higher risk of getting a severe disease.

Fever, cough, and shortness of breathing are signs and symptoms of coronavirus.
Severe cases can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome and sometimes death.

One way to prevent the spread of the viruses is through frequent cleaning of hands
using alcohol or soap and water. Another thing is covering the nose and mouth with disposable
tissues or with a flexed elbow. In addition, avoiding close contacts with people having cough
and fever must be exercised.
