Levels of Outcomes in Outcome-based

Education (OBE) Example

University’s mission and vision

Institutional

If you’re taking up a BSED Filipino now

then the outcome of it after you
Program graduate would include you being a
Filipino teacher in an institution or you
can be a private tutor.
An example of this is, what outcomes
can we get after completing our subject
Course PrEd 146 or Assessment in Learning 1.

An example of this is what outcomes

can we get after a specific lesson. For
Learning Outcome example, if the lesson taught is about
the basic steps of Folk dance, then the
learning outcome would basically
students will be able to execute these
basic steps.

B. Differentiate immediate outcomes from deferred outcomes in two to three sentences by

giving one example/situation in each outcome.

Types of Outcomes in Outcome-based

Education (OBE) Situation/Example

Immediate outcomes are outcomes

achieved right after the instruction; this
immediate outcomes is also known as instructional outcomes.
One example of this is when a teacher is
teaching students how to solve a certain
mathematical problem and then the
outcome would be the student will be
able to know how to solve a problem
after the instruction. Another one is
when a PE teacher is showing students
how to perform the basics of folk dance,
then the immediate outcome would be,
students will also be able to execute the
steps.
Deferred outcomes take ample of time
before the outcome will be completed or
deferred outcomes achieved which is different with
immediate where outcomes are
achieved right after the instruction. An
example of deferred outcome is when a
certain student is able to graduate or
achieve his/her Bachelor’s degree in
education.
